Once the heat passes and his condition stabilizes, Yu Wei scrambles to find his clothes scattered across the floor. Before fleeing the scene of the “crime,” he catches a quick glimpse of the person sleeping soundly on the bed.
He tries to treat it as a one-night accident, a “dog bite” he can just forget. But reality hits him harder. As time passes, his stomach starts to grow. At first, he thinks he’s just gaining weight. He tries dieting, but his belly only gets bigger while the rest of him stays the same. Within a few months, he’s rocking a full-blown beer belly.
Terrified that he has a tumor, he goes to the hospital for a checkup. The doctor tells him it’s not a tumor. Yu Wei sighs in relief, until the doctor cheerfully congratulates him on being pregnant. Yu Wei blacks out on the spot.
