Chapter 24
A refreshing holiday morning. As usual, Molly comes to wake up Liliana.
“Good morning, young lady.”
“Mm… just one more hour…”
“What are you saying? Get up already.”
“I refuse! I want to rest properly on my day off. I’m exhausted from my daily crown princess education.”
Saying this, she burrowed deeper into her blanket like a turtle hiding inside its shell.
Exasperated, Molly mercilessly pulled the blanket away as usual.
“Today you’re going out with Master Aiden, so hurry up and get ready~.”
Then she even pushed Liliana off the bed and started changing the sheets.
Liliana puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms in front of her chest, doing her best to show her displeasure.
“Hey, Molly, don’t you think you’re treating me too roughly?”
“And I never heard anything about going out with Aiden!”
“I just told you now.”
Molly replied without the slightest remorse, and Liliana lost even the energy to argue as she reluctantly walked toward the washroom, muttering to herself.
“My precious day off…”
◇◇◇
Liliana was dressed in what Molly called a “noble lady’s secret date style” cute coordination (unfortunately, her partner was Aiden).
By the way, Molly always adds “~style” to her coordinations and enjoys it.
Molly pushed the ready Liliana into the carriage.
Inside were a smiling Aiden and Liliana, who was puffing her cheeks in displeasure.
Since she had been dragged outside like a kidnapping victim when she planned to catch up on sleep today, it was understandable that she was upset.
And since Aiden had not told her the destination, Liliana asked for the third time today.
“So, where are we going?”
“That’s why, it’s a surprise until we arrive… ah, looks like we’re here?”
Just in time, the carriage began to slow down and stopped somewhere.
Aiden got off the carriage first with a delighted expression, and Liliana followed, looking around curiously.
It seemed they were not in the noble shopping district, but in a commercial area for commoners.
“This is a newly opened general goods store.”
“Big sister, you like places like this, right?”
At Aiden’s words, Liliana’s expression instantly brightened. She had forgotten she had been sulking earlier and immediately said, “I like it, I love it!!” while hugging him—completely forgetting they were outside.
Aiden stroked her head with a satisfied look.
“Then let’s go inside.”
At Aiden’s words, she nodded vigorously and opened the shop door.
For Liliana, it was paradise.
Liliana loved small, cute miscellaneous goods.
There were too many of them, so Molly had forbidden her from going to general goods stores for a while.
Excited after a long time, Liliana became completely absorbed in the shop.
She forgot about Aiden’s presence and immersed herself in admiring the cute little items.
It was truly bliss.
After a while, Liliana stood there with a brilliant smile, both hands full of purchased items.
In fact, today’s outing was planned by Ian, Aiden, and Molly as a reward to cheer up Liliana for working hard in her crown princess education.
As expected, everyone was very indulgent toward Liliana.
After finishing shopping at the general store, they placed the (large amount of) luggage in the carriage once again and enjoyed lunch at a café.
Although Liliana and Aiden attended the same academy, Liliana was currently in the senior division while Aiden was in the middle division, so they rarely met inside the academy.
Their conversation never ran out—talking about things happening at their respective schools, complaints about crown princess education at the royal palace, and the wonderful royal dinner.
Aiden seemed relieved that Liliana was not being bullied at school as she had worried.
Jealousy and envy never disappear in any age.
If she could enjoy her school life peacefully, nothing was better.
After enjoying the ordered lunch menu and even having several kinds of desserts, they left the café.
Perhaps they had relaxed too much; the sun was already beginning to set.
Liliana, who unexpectedly had a very meaningful day, returned to the mansion by carriage and, after dinner, handed out souvenirs along with her gratitude.
Everyone was happy, but her parents’ words made a cold sweat run down her back.
“Liliana? Where are Father’s and Mother’s gifts?”
……I completely forgot. Would an ‘I had a nice story to tell’ be enough? (Tears)
