Summary
Everyone knows that Celia and Lucius hate each other.
Everyone knows that Celia looks down on Lucius, and Lucius doesn’t think much of Celia either.
Their families have been enemies for 200 years, and that feud was passed down to them. Born only three days apart, they grew up as childhood rivals who were basically destined to dislike each other.
Or at least, that’s how it was supposed to be.
Until their families suddenly decided to end the feud by making them get married.
Story
“Living in the same house as you, having you use the Windmere name, and holding you in my armsβI’m not happy about any of it either.”
Lucius was the guy Celia had been stuck with since they were five years old. All they had ever shared was a terrible relationship.
Then he made her a promise:
“I’ll divorce you in three years.”
That one promise was the only reason Celia agreed to the awful marriage.
Six months before the planned divorce…
Lucius suddenly loses his memory.
Or at least, that’s what he claims.
“Don’t be ridiculous. You lost your memory? I’m not falling for that.”
Celia doesn’t believe him for a second.
But Lucius only smiles and says:
“I think I remember one thing.”
His eyes curve into a grin.
“You looked beautiful when you cried because of me.”
It’s the middle of a hot summer, and Lucius Windmere has come back completely insane.
Then he drops an even bigger bombshell:
“Celia, you’re carrying our child. There’s no way you can leave me now.”
A husband who was supposed to divorce her has suddenly become obsessed with her.
After years of hatred, rivalry, and bad blood, what kind of ending will this exhausting relationship have?
