The Maid With a Child

“Raise it.”
Upon his return from the battlefield, my master tossed me a baby instead of war spoils.
“M-M-Master…?”
Adelen, a maid whose dream was to marry a handsome husband and have obedient children to live a sweet, happy life, suddenly found herself raising a spoils of war baby instead of her own.
But as it turned out, this baby was quite the sight.
Thanks to that, she was now about to risk her life to raise a baby.
“Double your salary. A house, a carriage, livestock, and wedding funds. Will that be enough?”
Will it?
“Then add a man to marry, as well.”
Caught up in my master’s half-threat, half-coercion, I had no choice but to agree.
…But he didn’t say the man he was giving me was the master himself!
