“Hey, Will. About that matter…”
Without knocking or obtaining permission, a young man barged straight into the room.
He was slightly shorter than Prince William, with a heavily muscular, overly sturdy body that looked as if it had been trained to the extreme, wrapped in a near-stifling knight’s guard uniform. He appeared to be in his early twenties.
Judging by the fact that he called the prince “Will,” they must be quite close.
When his gaze met Lilianna’s, the young man looked somewhat awkward.
“Oh, I see you have a guest. Sorry, I’ll come back later—”
Before he could finish, Prince William said,
“It’s fine. Go over there for now…”
Pointing toward the desk, he glanced briefly at Lilianna.
“Wait here for a little while.”
Then he moved toward the desk.
I don’t need to wait! If you just agree to cancel the engagement, I’ll happily go home right now! she complained internally while looking at the table.
There were many delicious-looking sweets arranged there.
Come to think of it, the servant who had just poured the tea had also placed the sweets.
…Since he told me to wait, it should be fine if I eat these, right?
Lilianna timidly reached out, picked a small chocolate-like sweet from among the many, and put it into her mouth.
It was the most wonderful tasting sweet she had ever eaten.

Lilianna was savoring the sweets a little apart from the desk where William was reviewing documents.
William received the papers from the muscular young knight and gave his instructions.
Since it was not an especially important matter, he signed the document and returned it to the young man, then suddenly looked toward Lilianna—and froze.
Seeing William’s reaction, the young knight also turned toward Lilianna.
Without any restraint, she was happily smiling as one cute little sweet after another disappeared into her mouth.
Unable to hold it in, the young knight let out a “buh-foh” snort of laughter
