– Making a Beautiful Girl Angry

I thought Ryuka would wave along with me, but instead he suddenly said,
“Then, I’ll head home too.”
Hearing that, Yua’s mood clearly soured.
“…Huh…? Wh-what are you talking about…? Why don’t you stay and relax a bit…?”
“Hm? Why? If Risa’s leaving, then I’m leaving too.”
With that, Ryuka casually stood up from his seat.
“Eh… w-what? Ryuka, you’re going home? My cake hasn’t even come yet, you know?”
Yua puffed out her cheeks in obvious displeasure, but—
“Don’t worry. The cake’s on me.”
Ryuka picked up the check that had been left on the table, waved it lightly in his hand, and smiled at Yua as he said that.
“See you, Yua-chan.” He waved at her cheerfully.
Then, naturally—
“Let’s go, Risa.”
—he took my hand.
“W-wait. We’re not, like, in that kind of relationship…”
I almost said it out loud, but stopped myself. I couldn’t say something weird and crush Ryuka’s pride.
After all, Ryuka is still an active idol.
And I know he takes his entertainment career seriously—almost to a fault.
It’s annoying, but for now, I swallowed my frustration.
I’m definitely making him treat me to fancy sushi or yakiniku next time!
As we walked outside still holding hands, I glanced back through the glass windows of the sweets café. Yua was glaring at us with such a terrifying expression that it made me shudder.
And right then, she stabbed her fork violently into the cake that had just been served at her table.
It looked like she might actually break through the glass and come charging at us.
Whoa—scary…
