How About We Sleep Together?
The aroma of food soon drifted out from the kitchen. Although the backpack only contained things like canned food
and instant rations, for Xiling, whose cooking skills had already been raised to the max level, making a relatively delicious meal was still more than easy.
“So fragrant? A-Ling, what delicious thing are you making?”
“Just some simple home-cooked food. You won’t dislike it, right, Ellie?”
“Of course not? The food A-Ling makes is so delicious, how could I possibly dislike it?”
While saying that, Elysia wrapped her arms around Xiling’s slender waist, resting her head on Xiling’s shoulder.
“Umm…… Ellie, have you been eating a little too much recently? You’re so heavy……”
“Absolutely not! How could a cute girl possibly gain weight?”
Seeing Elysia’s exaggerated reaction, Xiling became even more certain of her guess.
“It’s okay. A chubby Ellie would still be very cute too~”
“Ahhhhhhh! I’m not fat!”
As if embarrassed and annoyed, Elysia pinched the soft flesh around Xiling’s waist and started rubbing it vigorously.
“W-Waah! L-Let go, Ellie! There’s still something cooking in the pot!”
After finally escaping from Elysia’s hands, Xiling hurriedly checked the food in the pot. Thankfully, the dish was only slightly dry and hadn’t burned.
“Phew…… Seriously, next time don’t joke around when I’m cooking!”
After complaining to Elysia for a couple of moments, Xiling jumped down from the small stool while carrying the dishes and placed them on the table.
“The ingredients were limited, so this is the best I could make. Ellie, you’re not allowed to complain, okay~”
As it turned out, Xiling’s worries were completely unnecessary. The plate of home-cooked food was quickly finished by Elysia, who even seemed to want more.
“Food made by A-Ling is still as delicious as before?”
“Stop flattering me. Get some proper rest tonight. We’ll be leaving tomorrow.”
After taking a bath using the bathroom here, Xiling lazily collapsed onto the bed.
“Phew…… As expected, the bed is still the most comfortable……”
Before she could fully relax, a faint fragrance suddenly drifted past her. Then, she felt something press down against her back.
“A-Ling, can I sleep together with you?”
Although her tone sounded like she was asking for permission, Elysia had already wrapped the two of them together with the blanket. Xiling could even clearly feel the softness pressed against her face.
“Umm…… W-Wait…… Let go of me first…… I can’t breathe……”
Turning her head away, Xiling blushed and quietly moved closer to Elysia’s side.
“Just so you know, no other funny business, okay?”
“Ehehe~ I’m just sleeping together with A-Ling. I won’t do anything else~”
After receiving Xiling’s permission, Elysia immediately hugged her tightly.
“Seriously…… Even after growing up, you’re still like a little kid……”
Feeling Elysia’s breathing gradually become steady, Xiling helplessly hugged her back. Moonlight shone through the window and fell upon the two of them.
But in a place neither of them could see, a faint purple pattern quietly spread across Xiling’s spine.

“Ellie, wake up. It’s already morning.”
“Mm?”
“Little sleepyhead, hurry up and get up~ After breakfast, we need to leave. Otherwise, if the Honkai beasts gather again later, it’ll be difficult for us to go.”
Looking at Elysia’s sleepy and confused expression, Xiling affectionately pinched her cheek.
“I know~ I’ll be there soon?”
