The commotion in the classroom was eventually settled thanks to Teacher Hayashi’s quick thinking.

The teacher swiftly took out her smartphone and contacted Yuu’s maid.

A few minutes later, the classroom door quietly opened, and in stepped a woman with long black hair elegantly tied up—Rabi, the Moon Rabbit people’s maid.

Two rabbit ears stood upright from the top of her head, while one slightly folded ear added to her charming, refined beauty.

Her black maid uniform was decorated with silver embroidery reminiscent of Moon Rabbit tradition. The fabric clung to her body as if it were naturally drawn to her shape, and the delicate embroidered shadows subtly revealed graceful curves—quiet elegance infused with a rhythm that carried a restrained allure with every step.

Her presence was like a willow bathed in moonlight—so refined and noble that it instantly dissolved the classroom’s noise into a calm silence.

Rabi glanced at the boy in his rabbit form and approached him with a bag in one hand.

“Master Yuu, I have come to escort you. Please excuse my intrusion, everyone.”

Her voice was as clear as a bell, and the entire class held their breath.

She received the boy from Akari, gently pulling him into a warm embrace.

His ears twitched slightly.

“Master Yuu seems to be tired, so we will be taking him home for today.”

Rabi left the classroom with the boy, and the classmates’ eyes followed their departing figures.

Akari returned to her seat and let out a sigh while holding her chest.

Since it was the first day of the opening ceremony, classes ended in the morning, resulting in an early dismissal.

The students left the school gate still buzzing with excitement, and she also headed home.

Her mind was completely filled with the boy’s rabbit form and the sensation of the kiss in the infirmary—How am I supposed to face him tomorrow? she wondered.

The next morning.

As Akari approached the school gate as usual, she was met with an unusual sight—a gigantic limousine was parked right in front of it.

The black vehicle looked as imposing as a movie set, its low engine rumble shaking the air, while students nearby kept their distance, whispering while holding up their smartphones.

“What is that… a celebrity?”

“Is it a prince’s car?”

The door opened, and Yuu stepped out.

His uniform looked slightly more composed than yesterday.

Rabi stood beside him, keeping watch over the surroundings.

Noticing Akari, the boy’s face lit up immediately.

“Good morning, Akari!”

“Ah… good morning, Yuu.”

She looked away slightly and lowered her head, her heartbeat quickening.

The boy smiled and held out his hand.

“Let’s go to the classroom together!”

“If you hold hands like that, won’t you turn into a rabbit again?”

“Ah, that’s true!”

He replied with a laugh.

Rabi bowed politely.

“Good morning, Lady Akari. Thank you very much for helping Master Yuu yesterday. His father and mother are both very pleased that Master Yuu has made a school friend.”

Rabi handed Akari a silver briefcase.

It was heavy, with a solid, locked-like weight to it.

Akari frowned as she took it.

“Hey, what is this… it’s heavy.”

Unable to resist her curiosity, she snapped it open.

Inside were bundles of cash packed tightly together—Japanese banknotes totaling one hundred million yen.

The pale green stacks shimmered in the morning light.

Her eyes widened, and her hands began to tremble.

“W-What is this!? Money!? You’re kidding, right!?”

She quickly closed the case and tried to shove it back toward Rabi.

“I can’t accept something like this!”

But Rabi firmly grabbed the case, locking it in place.

It wouldn’t budge, as if magnetized. For a brief moment, her eyes glowed an eerie blue.

She leaned closer to Akari and exhaled softly as if whispering into her ear.

“You have already been chosen as a candidate for our Moon Kingdom’s princess. Please consider this not as a contract payment, but merely as compensation for inconvenience. You do not need to accept it here—we will have it delivered to your home.”

Her voice was sweet, yet carried an undeniable authority that made a chill run down Akari’s spine.

Rabi closed the case and placed it into the limousine’s trunk.

Akari stood frozen in shock—Princess candidate? Compensation? One hundred million yen!?

Her “class representative” mask completely cracked.

Just then, a bright voice came from behind.

“Hey, Akari! What are you spacing out for?”

She turned around to see her best friend Mio.

With short boyish hair swaying in the wind and a sports bag slung over her shoulder, she looked as energetic as always.

Mio noticed the boy’s appearance and smirked.

“Whoa, a prince, huh? What’s going on with you two? You’re gonna be late, you know?”

Rabi bowed once again.

“Then, Master Yuu. If anything happens, Lady Akari will be there to assist you, so please rely on her with peace of mind.”

She got into the limousine.

The engine rumbled softly, and the massive vehicle glided away.

Akari finally came back to her senses and pouted.

“Hey, don’t just decide that on your own! I never agreed to—”

But the boy suddenly cut in, eyes sparkling brightly.

“Really!? Thank you so much, Akari! I can enjoy school life without worrying now!”

His innocent smile stopped her words in her throat, and she sighed while holding her head.

Mio laughed softly at the scene.

“Alright, alright, let’s head to class already! Prince, make sure you escort Akari properly too!”

Pushed along by Mio’s cheerful voice, the three of them entered the school gate.

The boy’s eyes still sparkled as he kept glancing at Akari’s profile.
