Sonamu responds to Seung-jo’s sarcasm by correctly reading the wine label and joking that, if he considers it “dirty water,” then perhaps dirty water is actually quite good. She then decides to return to her room and finish the bottle.
She is clearly drunk and unsteady, which makes Kwon Seung-jo increasingly anxious. He follows her toward the elevator, ready to support her if necessary. When he accuses her of deliberately putting on a show to provoke him, Sonamu laughs and calls him overly self-conscious. She then asks what kind of compensation he intends to give her.
Seung-jo replies that he will give her anything.
Sonamu suddenly asks whether he is behaving this way because he wants to sleep with her. Seung-jo is stunned by the question. She tells him that if she has misunderstood him, he should never appear in her life again. She even tells him to get out of her life.
Back in her room, Sonamu reflects on what happened. She admits that she drank much more than usual and realizes that she was actually angry at Lee Jun-yeop, not Seung-jo. Seung-jo had simply become the target of her frustration.
Jun-yeop has sent her messages asking why she has not contacted him and saying that he is worried. Sonamu calls him and tells him that she is still in Jeju because her contract changed and she will remain at the hotel longer.
Jun-yeop pretends to be relieved and asks whether she has been drinking. Sonamu realizes how naturally he is acting and begins wondering whether he has always been this good at hiding things.
She asks him whether he really knows everything about her. Then she asks whether he also knows what she saw that day. Jun-yeop avoids answering directly and tells her that she sounds very drunk.
Sonamu thinks about the scene she witnessed involving Jun-yeop and Seo Joo-young. Because of her prosopagnosia, she might never have realized what was happening if she had not recognized Jun-yeop through his distinctive tie. She wonders how foolish she must have looked, smiling innocently while her boyfriend and friend were together in front of her.
She finally tells Jun-yeop her room number—610—and orders him to come downstairs because they have something to discuss. She ends the call before he can respond.
While waiting, Sonamu unexpectedly thinks about Seung-jo. She wonders how he would have lived if he also had difficulty recognizing people’s faces. She imagines that, unlike her, Seung-jo would probably remain confident and arrogant no matter what happened.
Soon, someone rings the doorbell. Sonamu expects Jun-yeop, but when she opens the door, she immediately realizes the person is much taller and broader than him.
It is Kwon Seung-jo.
Seung-jo tells her that if she was not mistaken about his earlier intentions, then perhaps she should consider what would happen if he really did want to sleep with her.
He enters, and the situation suddenly becomes emotionally intense. Sonamu is startled and unable to clearly see his expression because of her condition. Before she can fully process what is happening, another person rings the doorbell.
Sonamu tells Seung-jo that the person she had been waiting for is the other man. Seung-jo becomes furious and orders her not to move.
He opens the door himself and finds a man standing outside. The man apologizes, claiming that he entered the wrong room. Seung-jo coldly sends him away and shuts the door with considerable force.
Sonamu asks what he was doing. Seung-jo bluntly says that he was preventing her from being “messed with.” He asks why she invited a man who had come to the hotel with another woman into her room.
He correctly realizes that the man is her cheating boyfriend.
Sonamu is surprised that Seung-jo figured it out so quickly. Seung-jo reminds her that she constantly underestimates him and sarcastically points out that his memory and intelligence are part of how he reached his current position.
Sonamu begins laughing. Despite everything, she finds his reaction completely characteristic of Kwon Seung-jo. She also feels relieved and even grateful that he intervened.
Seung-jo picks up the bottle of wine and criticizes her taste, comparing the cheap wine to the kind of man she chose.
Just then, Sonamu’s phone vibrates. As expected, the caller is Lee Jun-yeop.
She looks at the phone, laughs bitterly, and rejects the call.
Then she looks at Seung-jo and asks why he came.
Her final question is direct:
Why did he come to her room? Did he really come because he wanted to sleep with her?
