After what happened yesterday, she was utterly disappointed in this person and no longer wanted to use the old form of address.

“Are you still angry with me? Yesterday was just a little joke,” Qiu Mengxi said with a smile, showing not a trace of remorse on her face.

Something so serious was brushed off by her as if it were nothing.

“Jianqing, you’re an S-class Alpha. How can you not have an Omega by your side? Even if it’s just for show, it’s better than being alone,” Qiu Mengxi continued with a smile, still trying to justify what she did yesterday.

An Jianqing’s eyes flickered as she said coldly, “Thank you for the reminder. Is there anything else?”

Hearing the clear dismissal in her tone, Qiu Mengxi could no longer maintain her smile. Her expression turned cold as she turned and left.

An Jianqing closed the door and sat on the sofa, pondering Qiu Mengxi’s words.

She did indeed need an Omega to cover up the fact that she was pretending to be an Alpha. The best candidate could only be someone who knew the truth.

“Su Ya, I need your help.” An Jianqing dialed a number without a saved name.

“No need to be so polite. Just say what you need. If I can help, I definitely will,” Su Ya replied with a laugh.

“Be my girlfriend,” An Jianqing said seriously.

Su Ya was handling reagents at the moment. Hearing this, she almost dropped the test tube in her hand. She couldn’t help but growl in a low voice, “Have you lost your mind? I’m not interested in Omegas.”

“I was marked by an Alpha last night,” An Jianqing said calmly.

“No,” An Jianqing answered solemnly, then continued, “I’ll pay you.”

“No problem.” Su Ya instantly agreed, then after a two-second pause added seriously, “It can only be a nominal relationship. No intimate behavior allowed. At most holding hands and hugging—and that costs extra.”

“You’ll just be in name. Show your face occasionally, that’s all,” An Jianqing said mercilessly.

“How long do I have to act?” Su Ya asked.

“Not sure yet.” An Jianqing rubbed her brow.

At the very least, she had to wait until the storm passed and confirm that her identity wouldn’t be exposed.

“Alright then. As long as you pay,” Su Ya laughed happily, then asked curiously, “What kind of mark? The deepest level?”

An Jianqing did not answer.

Su Ya made an understanding “Oh,” and then asked, “Was it good?”

An Jianqing hung up immediately.

Ning Xuechu sat on the plane, staring blankly at the blue sky and white clouds outside.

She couldn’t help imagining An Jianqing together with Qiu Mengxi. Even though she had already taken An Jianqing’s body, she still felt uneasy.

She couldn’t tell An Jianqing that the Alpha last night was her. Once she said it, given An Jianqing’s cold personality, she might use all kinds of methods to deal with her.

Du Rong looked up at her innocent face and narrowed her eyes. “Where did you go last night?”

“I don’t remember…” Ning Xuechu blinked and frowned as if trying to recall. “I vaguely remember you helping me into the car, and after that I have no memory… When I woke up, I was already in my room.”

She sounded uncertain, as if she herself didn’t know what had happened.

Du Rong observed her carefully. After a long silence, she looked away, not daring to voice the last question in her heart.

She had searched everywhere but couldn’t find the room card. She suspected it had fallen out of her bag and been picked up by Ning Xuechu.

But Ning Xuechu’s reaction seemed completely normal, without any flaws. If she had spoken about last night with absolute certainty, Du Rong might have been able to confirm her suspicions.

Now she could only hope the card had fallen outside the hotel and hadn’t been picked up by anyone.

Ning Xuechu froze and asked curiously, “Who is it? My sister’s friend?”

“It’s that doctor friend of Miss An’s from last time. She said she’ll stay here for a couple of days. Miss An has never brought anyone home overnight before. Perhaps something good is about to happen this time,” Aunt Lian said, smiling from ear to ear.

Ning Xuechu’s expression suddenly turned cold. A surge of anger filled her heart. Her fingers gripped the tablecloth tightly, nearly tearing it apart.

“Miss An specifically instructed us to prepare meals according to the guest’s preferences. That guest doesn’t eat quite a few things—like eggplant…” Aunt Lian said cheerfully, counting on her fingers.
