Story 51
A Letter from a Colleague Who Took Her Own Life
Our company had a lot of women, which meant the relationships inside were… messy.
In the middle of all that, one of my coworkers—M—ended her life.
They said she hanged herself at home.
In her suicide note, she wrote that she was going to die because she was being bullied at work.
So, of course, her parents came storming into the company right after.
Honestly, our company had a lot of black-company traits anyway—tons of unpaid overtime, constant pressure—so everyone was whispering that the company might actually get sued and lose.
Two days after M’s suicide, a letter arrived.
It was addressed to the senior who had been bullying her.
The sender’s name?
M.
Inside, it said:
“Your casual words killed someone. Congratulations, you’re officially a murderer. Even in death, I will never forgive you.”
The senior was terrified after reading it—completely pale and shaking.
Well… I guess it’s no surprise. She was definitely the one M hated the most.
By the way, everyone was so focused on the contents of that letter that hardly anyone noticed one small, strange detail.
The postmark.
It was dated the day after M died.
