Multiple Marriages?
“Um… what should I do, Yuya?”
“Don’t ask me.”
We were shocked by Chamomile’s sudden remark.
Is this normal in another world?
When I think of multiple marriages, I imagine something like polygamy in the Middle East.
“Well, I’ll head home for now. See you later, Yuya.”
“O-okay.”
I’m confused too. I need a little break.
When I went to the living room, Chamomile spoke to me.
“Oh? Ami went home already?”
“Yeah, she’s probably just tired.”
Mostly mentally, that is.
I should probably keep that from Chamomile; she might worry.
“Well, living together would be fun though, right?”
“…Yeah.”
At least there wasn’t a scene. I’m not good with conflicts.
I collapsed onto my bed in my room.
I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened earlier.
“That… suddenly kissing me like that… what was she thinking?”
The soft feeling of her lips.
The warmth.
Just remembering it made my chest race.
“Maybe I’m surprisingly easy to manipulate…”
Anyway, I’m glad Ami and Chamomile didn’t end up fighting. That’s a relief.
Ami Nakajima’s Perspective
I recalled what had happened earlier and felt my face heat up.
“W-what on earth did I just do…”
I’d never do something like that under normal circumstances.
Seriously, why did I do it?
Looking back, I feel like Yuumi subtly led me into it.
I glanced at my smartphone on the bed in my room. There was a message from Yuumi:
“Glad it worked out ♡… huh.”
Well, maybe it was good in the end.
In hindsight, the situation could easily have led to a fight with Chamomile.
Competing for Yuya was inevitable.
Luckily, it didn’t happen.
“Being in another world really saved me…”
It must have been the difference in values.
I can’t understand it at all as a Japanese person.
“For this one time, I’m glad.”
“Oh, big sister, dinner’s ready… Huh? You look tired, what happened?”
It was my little sister’s voice, and I turned to see her at the doorway, looking concerned.
“It’s nothing.”
“Really? Okay, I’ll go downstairs first then.”
She went down the stairs.
So much has happened today that I couldn’t even tell her.
I lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
Chamomile Lumfé’s Perspective
The next morning, I took my laptop to the living room.
I tried searching for “multiple marriages.”
It’s easier to understand and explain online.
“Multiple marriages are a serious crime?”
“Y-yeah. In Japan, it’s considered a crime. Apparently, imprisonment for up to 2 years.”
I pointed to the computer screen and explained it to Chamomile.
I didn’t realize that multiple marriages were such a serious offense.
“So some states in America allow multiple marriages…”
Other countries are different from Japan.
As expected of America, the land of freedom.
Wait, does that mean things like cheating or adultery… don’t exist there?
There’s a lot about the world I don’t know.
“So, if I went to America, it wouldn’t be a problem, right?”
“Well, yes, but…”
Money… I thought, but I actually had enough.
Plane tickets cost a lot, but it wasn’t an issue.
Then I realized a critical misunderstanding.
“Wait… even so, it wouldn’t actually be multiple marriages. I can’t marry Chamomile anyway.”
It wasn’t even a crime.
Why did I assume it would be?
“Sorry, Chamomile. There’s absolutely no problem. I can’t marry you, so it doesn’t matter at all.”
“So living together with Ami wouldn’t be a problem, right?”
Ami.
I recalled the kiss with Ami yesterday.

Geez!
“What’s wrong, Yuya? Your face is all red.”
“Nothing.”
I need to talk to Ami face-to-face.
