Going Too Far to Cover for Me
Yua looked completely lost, as if she couldn’t understand Ruka’s words at all.
“…Um… what do you mean…? I really don’t get it… The way you said it, it kind of sounds like… you like this Hiiragi Risa girl… but that’s not what you meant… right?”
Total panic.
And then Ruka pushes her even further.
“Hm? That’s exactly what I mean. I like Risa.”
He says it with a full, beaming smile…
“…Huh?”
The soul instantly drained out of the once elegant, pure-type beauty Yua, and before anyone noticed, she had a face like a clay Haniwa statue.
Ugh, seriously, what is Ruka thinking?!
Sure, Yua’s reactions are funny, but this is way too much!
If I cut in now, the conversation will just get more complicated, so I can’t say anything…
But I’m definitely giving him a lecture later.
And maybe I’ll pinch his cheeks so hard that the makeup artists start worrying and ask, “What happened to you?” That’ll teach him!

Ruka asked.
“Wait—hold on. Ruka, do you really like Hiiragi Risa?”
Ruka nodded.
“That’s something an active idol is allowed to say? Normally you hide that stuff! Aren’t you scared of tabloids or gossip magazines?! Why would you say that?!”
Yua practically shouted.
“I used to think so too, until recently…”
Ruka said, glancing over at Fuuma and Aoi before continuing.
“But idols are human too. Of course we can fall in love. And if you hide that, someone truly important to you might end up worried or hurt, right? That’s not good.”
He said something ridiculous in this calm, serious tone.
At this point, even if he’s only doing it to cover for me, he’s going way too far…
