Chapter 01
It all began with a question that could never be answered.
Why was the name Yoon Hyun-wooâall three syllables of itâconspicuously missing from the list of fatal accidents in Formula One history?
And that wasn’t all.
His name couldn’t be found on the list of drivers throughout history, either.
It was as though he’d never existed in the first place, as though the entire history of Yoon Hyun-woo had been completely erased from that world.
Why
In Yoon Yi-seo’s world, that name alone loomed larger than anything else.
She had studied using that name as her stepping-stone, built her life upon it, and lived with it as her foundation.
And yet, in that world, every trace of him had been erased?
Why? Why on earth?
Why had they done such a thing? What had gone wrong?
An unbearable curiosity flared up inside her like a wildfire. But as always, her desire to find the answers soon died down.
There was just one thing she desperately wanted to confirm.
Whether her older brother had truly existed in that world.
All she needed was a single sentence from someone who remembered him.
I knew Yoon Hyun-woo. He really existed.
He was an incredible driver. It’s such a shame things ended the way they did.
That one sentence would have been enough for Yi-seo.
The man drained his glass of alcohol. His shirt was unbuttoned down to just above his solar plexus, revealing the beautifully sculpted contours of his chest in a tantalizing display.
Even the casual way he set the empty glass down on the table was somehow seductive.
Clink.
Even the sound of ice rattling inside the glass seemed strangely sensual in that moment.
âOr perhaps you’re just interested in me.â
He turned his head lazily and cast a glance at Yi-seo. A familiar desire flickered in his eyes.
Yi-seo swallowed hard at the sight, then slowly ran her tongue over her dry, chapped lower lip.
The man’s gaze grew a shade darker.
ââŠSo.â
He began walking toward her.
One step. Two. Three.
As his tall, broad-shouldered frame drew closer, Yi-seo instinctively retreated in awkward little steps. Then the cold metal of the decorative wall behind her touched her back, making her flinch and hunch her shoulders.
âWhat else are you curious about?â
The icy wall sent a chill down her spine.
Yet instead of pulling away from it, she had to press herself even more firmly against its surface, as though she could somehow burrow into it.
The man stood so close that they were almost touching, his body radiating heat. He propped one arm against the wall and stared intently at her face.
âTell me.â
His pitch-black eyes swept down over the bridge of her petite nose as though savoring the sight, lingered briefly on her lips, then rose to meet her gaze again.
The leisurely movement of his eyes, as if he were taking a stroll, stirred something strangely sensual within her.
âRacing? Or me? Which one are you more curious about?â
That wasn’t it.
She had absolutely no interest in racing, and he could never be the object of her interest.
He belonged to a world completely different from hers.
The only thing she was interested in wasâŠ
The existence of her older brother, Yoon Hyun-woo, who had been leading the race before dying in the Grand Prix ten years agoâthe very race this man had won.
But she couldn’t bring herself to say any of that aloud.
Of course, that wasn’t the only reason she’d followed him here.
The man who should never have become the object of her interestâŠ
The truth was, she had been drawn to him.
He was a peculiar man.
No matter what he did, what he looked like, or where he was, didn’t he always seem to shine?
Like a brilliant star embedded in the night sky, he radiated a distant, almost otherworldly light.
Perhaps that was why.
Even when she forgot her original purpose, unfamiliar questions began to bubble up inside her.
A pleasant fragrance drifted from the man standing so close to her.
His eyes, which seemed to capture her entire figure in their inky depths, were far too deep, far too dark, and far too beautiful.
Yi-seo gazed up into those eyes, black as the dead of night. She slowly blinked, then let her gaze drift downward.
His sharp nose, sensual lips, and masculine jawline caught her attention one after another.
In all her life, she’d never seen someone with such beautiful features.
Was it even appropriate to call a man this large and intimidatingâsomeone whose mere presence was oppressiveâbeautiful?
Yet she couldn’t think of another word.
Honestly, is this the extent of a lawyer’s vocabulary?
Even as she lamented her lack of eloquence, Yi-seo’s gaze continued its journey from his firm jaw to his elegant neck, then to his collarbones, and finally through the open collar of his shirt.
At that moment, the man’s Adam’s apple bobbed noticeably, and the tip of his finger touched her chin.
âYou used to call me a slut.â
His finger tilted her chin up ever so slightly. It was startlingly hot.
Yi-seo’s eyes widened as she met his gaze again.
âWhat kind of slut do you stare at like she’s so delicious?â
âB-because you’re pretty.â
This was a disaster.
She’d blurted it out without thinking.
Pretty?
Calling this man pretty? At a time like this?!
Perhaps her answer was just as absurd to him, because he turned his face to the side and let out a short, incredulous laugh.
âIn all my life, I don’t think I’ve ever been called pretty before.â
Then he looked directly into her eyes again, tilted his head at an angle, and asked,
âThen what? A pretty slut?â
âWhat part of me is pretty?â
âMy collarbones?â
Unlike Yi-seo, who could only blink in bewilderment, the man looked perfectly serious.
His half-lowered gaze was arrogant and erotic.
And yet, there was something utterly delinquent about him, too.
âOr are my breasts pretty?â
âYour lipsâŠâ
Once again, the answer slipped out of her mouth before she could stop it.
She might have spent the longest time looking at his chest, but she couldn’t possibly bring herself to tell him that his breasts were pretty.
âAh. My lips.â
At her answer, one corner of his mouth curled crookedly.
Still wearing that haughty expression, he gently stroked the tip of her chin.
âThat’s what everyone says. They tell me they want to suck them, or that they want me to suck theirs.â
In an instant, a panorama of the countless women who might have passed through this man’s life flashed through Yi-seo’s mind.
Watching the crease form between her brows, the man smiled slyly.
âWhy the face? What, are you thinking that a slut is still a slut after all?â
He recalled the reputation she’d once described to him and furrowed his brow as though he had been wronged.
âThat’s harsh. You’re here doing this with me, and you still think of me that way?â
Yi-seo looked straight up at him and retorted,
âYou are a slut.â
âI am. A slut.â
He admitted it so readily that she felt a sudden sting somewhere in her chest, as though she’d been pricked by a needle.
For a moment, she wondered if she should shove his hand away and leave immediately.
And yet she remained stillâŠ
Because she couldn’t understand why she was feeling this way in the first place.
What did it matter whether this man was a slut or not?
And yet another thought crept into her mind.
If you’re such a slut⊠why are your eyes so gentle?
If you’re such a slut, why are your fingertips so warm?
If you’re such a slut, whyâŠ
âI may be a slut, but I’m an unused one.â
ââŠWhat?â
âEven a slut can be like that, can’t he? Maybe he’s such a neat freak that he doesn’t want to dip his toes into the slut bucket.â
Yi-seo’s eyes widened in an instant.
âSo, tell me.â
The man smiled faintly. The finger that had been stroking her chin now brushed gently just beneath her lower lip.
A strange sensation stirred inside Yi-seo, and she ran the tip of her tongue along the inside of her lip.
Watching her intently, the man asked,
âWhich kind is our Attorney Yoon Yi-seo?â
âW-what⊠do you mean?â
âAre you the kind who wants to suck, or the kind who wants to be sucked?â
She wanted to ask what exactly he meant by an âunused slut.â
But those wicked lips of hers stubbornly chose to utter something else.
ââŠBoth?â
âMore ambitious than you look.â
The man chuckled and applied a little more pressure with the hand holding her lips apart.
Between her parted lips, her red tongue appeared, trembling against the vulnerability of her face.
âGood.â
Watching her quietly, the man moistened his own lips with his tongue, tilted his head a little farther, and brought his face closer to hers.
âLet’s see you give it a try.â
His warm breath slipped through her parted lips.
âIf you do a good job, I’ll give you a reward.â
His hot lips pressed against hers, and he drew her upper lip into his mouth, sucking it gently.
Then his thick tongue caught hers like a piece of candy.
Ah⊠what am I supposed to do?
This wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
As she gently curled her tongue around the hot, writhing flesh, Yi-seo squeezed her eyes shut.
