Chapter – 68
The Wives’ Secret Meeting — Love for Their Husband and the Shape of the Future
In the back of the Central Building, there was a room that had slowly become a private lounge for the women. Inside, Sylvia, Ayane, Kina, Celestina, and Leonora — Akio’s wives — had gathered together.
Soft afternoon sunlight came through the window, shining on their serious yet warm expressions. The topic of their meeting was what Sylvia had suggested the other day: “moving their relationship with Akio to the next stage.” They were also going to talk about Akio’s recent, surprising energy.
“…So, whether the source of Akio’s vitality comes from the ancient elven tradition connected to our union, or simply from his own natural life force, I cannot say for certain,” Sylvia said calmly. “But in any case, I believe that we, as his wives, should support him properly and give him true peace and happiness.”
After she finished speaking about Akio’s recent condition and her thoughts, the others nodded deeply.
“So, Lady Sylvia,” Kina asked, her eyes shining with excitement though she looked slightly shy, “when we, you know… spend the night with our husband, how exactly are we going to do it? Are we deciding an order or something?”
Her direct way of speaking made Celestina and Leonora blush. Ayane, however, looked seriously at Sylvia.
Sylvia smiled gently and first turned to Ayane.
“Ayane. Akio, I, and everyone here care about you in a very special way. You are Akio’s first wife, but you are still young. This is an important time for your body and heart to grow. So…”
She paused for a moment, then carefully and gently shared Akio’s strong feelings that he had told her beforehand.
“Akio wishes to wait until you turn twenty before forming a deeper marital bond with you. Not because of your homeland’s customs, but because of his own values — the common sense of the world he lived in — and most of all, because he treasures you deeply and thinks about your future.”
Ayane’s eyes filled with tears. She felt her heart grow warm knowing that Akio thought about her so seriously and wanted to protect her.
“Akio… cares about me that much…”
“Yes,” Sylvia replied softly. “So, Ayane, there is no need to rush. Until then, stay close to Akio. Support him, learn from him, and grow into a wonderful woman. Of course, as his first wife, you may share the bedroom with him, feel his warmth, and stay close to his heart. But truly becoming one as husband and wife should be saved for the time when you both feel ready and when you truly desire it.”
Ayane nodded deeply and wiped her tears.
“…Yes. Lady Sylvia, I understand Akio’s feelings now. Until then, I will work hard to become an even better woman!”
Her expression was clear, as if all doubt had disappeared.
“So,” Sylvia said, turning to the other three, “Kina, Celestina, Leonora. The three of us will first take on the role of supporting Akio at night. As for the order… we will discuss it fairly among ourselves and with Akio. The most important thing is that he feels truly at peace.”
Kina clenched her fist with excitement. “Alright! Leave it to me, Lady Sylvia! I’ll make our husband completely happy!”
Leonora’s face turned bright red. “M-Me… with Lord Akio… like that…! O-Of course, as his wife, I will fulfill my duty…!”
Celestina smiled gently but with firm resolve. “If it is what Akio desires… I will gladly do so as well.”
Then Sylvia added something very important.
“The bond of husband and wife is not built only at night. Akio wants a true connection with each of us. So, let us set regular ‘date days’ where each of us spends time alone with him. It can be a walk through the village, talking in the forest, or creating something together. It will be precious time to understand each other more deeply and grow our love.”
Everyone sincerely agreed. They did not want only physical closeness — they wanted their hearts to be deeply connected as well. Sylvia’s wish was something they all shared.
And so, without Akio knowing, the “First Wives’ Meeting” came to an end. They confirmed their feelings and deep love for him. They warmly and seriously discussed clear rules and promises about the future shape of their family.
Sylvia’s respect for Akio’s values, her consideration for Ayane’s growth, and her desire for every wife to build a fulfilling relationship with him in both heart and body united them all.
When this decision would be told to Akio is another story.
But from that day on, their family would begin to grow into a new and richer form of love.
