“Speaking of the heir of the Dupla family… it was truly unfortunate about Bernard. He was my childhood friend, a loyal retainer, and a very dear friend to me…”
“Ah, Brother Bernard… Indeed, it was regrettable, but Maxim is very capable. Once he matures, I am sure he will be of great help to you, Alexis-sama,” Celine replied.
When Alexis heard Bernard’s name, he noticed a faint trace of unease flash across Celine’s face. As he suspected, Yvette was involved in Bernard’s death, and Celine likely knew at least part of it.
