Synopsis
Her first love, whom she thought was dead, has returned alive. And not just that—he has become her partner in the very mission she despises most: a joint operation.
“Does the person you mistook me for look that much like me? Enough for you to want to use me as his replacement?”
Chae Yu-joo, the team leader of Team 3 at the Incheon branch of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), comes face-to-face with a man who has the exact same face as her first love, whom she lost in a fire nine years ago. He introduces himself as Do Hae-seong, one of the NIS’s elite black agents.
She intended to do nothing more than cooperate with him, but circumstances force them into a precarious cohabitation at a secure safe house for the sake of their mission.
“Are you really sure you can handle me using the first floor?”
“What are you up to?”
“Black Core agents tend to have quite a bit of freedom in private spaces. If you can stay calm no matter what I wear when I walk past you, feel free to do as you please. I made sure to warn you in advance.”
A man determined to conceal his identity and a woman determined to uncover the truth.
And then, an unidentified box of condoms is delivered to their doorstep?!
A man with the same face as her first love, yet with completely different eyes.
Strangely enough, Yu-joo finds her heart wavering because of him, again and again.
“I never asked you to take responsibility.”
The cohabitation that began for the sake of their mission gradually grows so passionate that neither of them can bear to let the other go.
“From now on, I have no intention of going easy on you, so try to keep up.”
On a night when their boundaries finally crumble, the more she tries to push him away, the deeper he pushes into her heart. Yu-joo finds herself helplessly shaken by him.
“…Look at me while you do it.”
His touch is relentless, as though he intends to reclaim all the years they had forgotten.
“Don’t think about anything else. The person right in front of you is me.”
Yu-joo had no idea whose warmth she had clung to that night.
