My Uncle’s Spirit Beast Farm in Another World
Prologue
Chapter 01
With a single wave of his hand, the earth overturned, and the barren land transformed into rich, fertile soil.
“Wooooooah!”
As he walked barefoot across the fertile ground, green sprouts burst from every footprint, spreading fresh leaves wherever he stepped.
“Wooooow!”
He waved his hand once more, strolling as if he were dancing. Trees grew where there had once been nothing but wasteland, and streams of water began to flow.
It was nothing short of a miracle.
“O Apostleeeeeee!”
“……”
An old man clung to him, sobbing with tears and snot streaming down his face. The expression of Seo Jun, the man they called the Apostle, immediately darkened.
His eyes naturally—no, instinctively—drifted toward the young women nearby.
But they only looked back at him with pure respect.
It was truly depressing.
“How you live from now on depends on your own efforts. What matters is what you do starting today.”
“Yes! We will remember your words, Apostle!”
“…Could you stop calling me that?”
“Hm?”
“Never mind.”
Seo Jun gently removed the confused old man from his arms and walked a short distance away before sitting down.
After finishing his work, he always did the same thing.
He sat alone and quietly watched the people laugh and celebrate their newfound happiness.
It was the only pleasure he had left.
Still, a small sigh escaped his lips.
“I’m so sick of hearing that title… Apostle.”
He could no longer remember exactly how many years had passed since he had fallen into this world.
He guessed it had been around thirty years.
“Damn it… I’m already in my fifties.”
He had been dragged here against his will and given nothing more than a vague command.
“Fill the world with abundant prosperity…”
That simple sentence had condemned him to wander ruined lands endlessly for thirty years.
It wasn’t as though he had never tried to return home.
He had.
Countless times.
Every attempt had failed.
Ironically, only after giving up on returning home did his work begin to be admired by others, earning him the title—
The Apostle of Prosperity.
“Come to think of it… did I call for rain?”
Drip.
Drip.
Rain began to fall.
When he looked up, dark clouds had gathered in the once-clear sky, scattering an autumn shower.
It’s not supposed to rain right now.
Then…
A strange light shone through the clouds.
Seo Jun’s expression froze.
At that exact moment—
KRRRRRBOOM—!!
A brilliant flash struck first.
The deafening thunder followed immediately afterward.
An attack?!
The lightning was far too artificial.
Anyone would think that.
Still…
There isn’t a chance it can even scratch me. I’ve layered countless divine barriers over my body…
“G-gh… gaaaah?!”
The familiar pain shooting through his body jolted him awake.
Had he ever been struck by lightning before?
More than a few times.
No.
Countless times.
After wandering this strange world for decades, getting hit by lightning had become almost normal.
But this one…
This one was different.
It felt exactly like the lightning that had struck him the day he first arrived in this world.
That crazy goddess… don’t tell me—?!
The face of the woman who had dragged him here with a bolt of lightning decades ago flashed into his mind.
No…
It wasn’t just in his mind.
“The Goddess… of Prosperity?!”
She stood right in front of him.
Although this was the first time he had seen her since the day he arrived in this world…
Seo Jun could never have forgotten her.
What the hell are you trying to do to me this time?!
He frowned and glared at her.
The goddess, however, only wore a peaceful smile.
—You have fulfilled your assigned quota.
Seo Jun blinked.
Quota?
As he stared at her in disbelief, she looked at him with satisfaction.
—I am once again amazed by your ability to bring prosperity in such a short time. No Apostle before you has ever accomplished this. Choosing you was a decision I am truly proud of.
Oh… is that so?
Seo Jun remained completely indifferent.
Ignoring his attitude, the goddess continued.
—Prosperity has now taken root in this land. Therefore, our contract has come to an end.
Contract, my ass! You kidnapped me and forced me into thirty years of unpaid labor!
Well…
Technically, there had been something like a contract.
She had promised to change the fate of his life, which had been hanging by a thread after he was struck by lightning.
In return…
He had to work for her.
But that wasn’t a contract.
It was a one-sided announcement.
How was he supposed to believe her?
He had been perfectly healthy before all of this.
He had never suffered from any serious illness.
Despite the hostility in his eyes, the goddess simply smiled kindly.
—You may finally return now, Yoo Seo Jun.
Return…? Wait… don’t tell me…
—May prosperity always be with you.
The power of a true god instantly overwhelmed every ability he possessed.
His consciousness disappeared.
At the same time, his entire body was wrapped in divine light.
The lightning continued crashing down for quite some time before finally stopping.
The rain ceased.
The dark clouds vanished.
And then—
“A-A-Apostle?!”
The people who had witnessed everything could only stare in horror.
The absolute being they called the Apostle.
The great mage who had brought prosperity to the entire continent.
Where Seo Jun had been standing…
Only black ashes remained, drifting through the air.
Chapter 1
“Cough… HAAACK?!”
A violent cough burst from his throat as he opened his eyes.
Everything before him was blurry.
He couldn’t even tell where he was.
Breathing felt difficult.
His mouth was so dry it felt packed with sand.
His body was as heavy as a soaked blanket.
“This… damn…”
A cracked voice escaped his lips.
His vision slowly came into focus.
Little by little, he could distinguish the objects around him.
Only then did he realize where he was.
“A hospital?”
An unfamiliar ceiling.
An unfamiliar bed.
An unfamiliar blanket.
Even the hospital gown he was wearing.
He forced himself to sit up.
His body refused to obey him.
It felt as though he had run nonstop for an entire day.
Even lifting his upper body exhausted him.
Still…
He had to check.
“Ah…”
Something he had desperately longed to see throughout his decades wandering another world finally entered his sight.
Beyond the window stood towering skyscrapers.
A massive bridge stretched across a river.
Countless car lights flowed over it.
Modern civilization.
Everything he had missed was right before his eyes.
“I… really came back?”
It all felt like an unbelievably long dream.
Or perhaps…
He was still dreaming.
But it was far too vivid.
His dry mouth filled with saliva.
Cold sweat dampened his palms.
He quietly stared at one hand and focused.
“……”
To anyone else, it would have looked as though he were simply staring blankly at his own hand.
But to him…
Nothing was more important.
Bubble…
Bubble…
Tiny droplets formed above his palm.
His sweat gathered together.
The surrounding moisture was drawn in, making the water sphere larger and larger.
Soon…
It had grown to the size of a baby’s fist.
The floating ball of water changed shape repeatedly in midair.
“Ha… haha.”
It wasn’t a dream.
Of course it wasn’t.
Compared to the power he possessed in that other world, it was only a tiny fraction.
But…
The power was still there.
The authority granted to him the moment he first stepped into that world.
The power given so he could restore dead lands and play the role of the goddess’s Apostle.
Divine Power.
The power to summon rain.
To command the wind.
To revive dead earth.
To awaken life itself.
The people of that world had called him a mage.
But in reality…
He simply borrowed divine power to control nature.
If anything…
He had been closer to a priest than a wizard.
That power still remained within him.
Even if only a tiny amount.
“Ha… hahaha.”
After forcing him to wander another world for decades…
Was this her compensation for making him work without pay?
“So this is basically my retirement package.”
He focused again.
The floating water sphere split neatly in half.
One half became a dark cloud.
Soft white snowflakes drifted down from it.
The melting snow merged with the remaining water, making the sphere grow larger again.
“Hehehe…”
His power over nature still worked.
The moment he confirmed that…
He couldn’t stop laughing.
“Hahahahaha…!”
“Wooow!”
“Waaah!”
…I definitely didn’t make those sounds.
And why did I hear two voices?
“Huh?”
He stopped laughing and slowly turned his head.
Two tiny children sat side by side on chairs next to his hospital bed, staring at him with sparkling eyes.
Their faces were identical.
Only their hairstyles and clothes revealed that one was a boy and the other was a girl.
Their chubby baby cheeks looked soft enough to stretch with his fingers.
More importantly…
Their faces weren’t unfamiliar.
Memories he had buried deep inside his heart slowly resurfaced.
“…Jia… and Jiwoo?”
My niece and nephew.
The twin siblings.
Jia and Jiwoo.
“Wow! Wow! Uncle! Jia prayed like this, and then bam! You woke up! Did you hear Jia’s prayer?”
“Jiwoo too! Jiwoo prayed every single day! I prayed for Uncle to stop sleeping! I did a good job, right?!”
The reunion came so suddenly that his head spun.
It had been almost thirty years since he had last seen them.
He needed a moment to react.
The twins continued staring with shining eyes.
Though…
Not at him.
Their attention was fixed on the floating ball of water above his palm.
“Uncle, what’s that?”
“What’s that?”
“Uh… well… that’s…”
How was he supposed to explain this?
He quickly looked around.
Fortunately, the curtain around the hospital bed was closed.
No one else seemed able to see them.
The twins’ eyes sparkled as they watched the dancing water.
Seo Jun hurriedly spoke.
“It’s… it’s magic I learned while visiting Dreamland… especially for my favorite niece and nephew!”
“Ooooh! Magic! Uncle’s a magician?! Is that why you slept for sooo long? Sleeping magic!”
There was no such magic.
More importantly…
Exactly how long had I been unconscious?
“Dreamland?! U-Uncle! Jiwoo wants to learn magic in Dreamland too!”
The twins accepted his ridiculous excuse without the slightest suspicion.
Cold sweat rolled down his back.
“This is a secret between Uncle and you two. Shhh.”
“Shhh…!”
“Shhh!”
The twins immediately copied him, placing fingers over their lips.
Seeing them again…
His vision blurred.
He never thought he would see his precious little niece and nephew again.
All those years struggling through another world…
Desperately searching for a way home…
The memories flooded back.
Unable to hold back his tears, he lowered his head.
Just then—
“Mom said we have to stay quiet in the hospital. Uncle’s sleeping, so we shouldn’t make so much noi—”
The curtain was pulled aside.
A young woman entered carrying a filled water bottle.
She froze.
The bottle slipped from her hands.
Her hair was loosely tied back.
She wasn’t very tall, but she had a healthy, energetic appearance.
Just like the twins…
She was someone whose face he had locked away in his heart for decades.
Childhood memories.
Teenage years.
Everything before the lightning struck him at twenty years old.
All of it rushed back at once.
The face he had wanted to see more than anyone.
“…Noona.”
“S-Seo Jun?”
The shock was so great that the bottle crashed onto the floor.
Thankfully…
She hadn’t seen the floating water.
Unfortunately…
The tiny bit of divine power he had left was exhausted.
The water sphere lost its shape.
It collapsed.
Splash!
And, most unfortunately of all…
It poured almost entirely onto his lap.
“Uncle peed.”
“Hehe! Uncle’s a bedwetter!”
After finally reuniting with his family for the first time in thirty years…
The very first thing his adorable niece and nephew did…
Was call him a bedwetter.
This wasn’t going to be an easy beginning.
