Synopsis
“Did you really deceive me?”
Stella BrontΓ«, the shining star of the Empire.
Born with the destiny of becoming Empress, she was ultimately abandoned by everyone.
Adrian de Castillo was the only man who reached out a hand to Stella after she fled in order to survive. It was only natural for her to fall for the man who whispered such sweet words to her.
“Do as you wish. Everything you desire is yours.”
“You must only cry in front of me.”
“Why are you so incredibly lovable?”
But every bit of it had been part of his plan.
All of it was to prevent Stella from ever ascending to the throne as Empress.
As her hand gently brushed his cheek, it trembled ever so slightly. Though warmth lingered at her fingertips, her heart grew strangely cold.
“I don’t know how long you’ve been deceiving me, but I’m not a bird. And I have no intention of being trapped inside the cage you’ve built for me. So…”
Adrian said nothing. Instead, the faint smile on his lips twisted into something agonizing.
Stella didn’t stop there.
“I’m leaving this place.”
She wished for him to collapse helplessly.
She wished for tears of regret to burn against her hand.
She wished for him to wander the world he had created, searching for no one but her.
