“Your Grace?”
Judith felt a chill run down his neck, remembering how the duke had cut his throat in his dream just moments ago.
“I heard you were talking about me in your dream.”
“Was I?”
“What kind of dream was it?”
“I’ve forgotten.”
“You said you liked me.”
Judith was about to say That’s a lie, but stopped.
He had just told the duke that he couldn’t remember the dream.
“It’s a lie.”
Caldwyn, who had been staring at Judith, said the words Judith had wanted to say.
“You were asking me to spare your life.”
“……”
“I hope you work hard and make sure you survive. I’m having quite a lot of fun spending time with you.”
