Some classmates in the class had already started looking for jobs, but she hadn’t even finished her resume.
Ning Xuechu wasn’t in a hurry; she planned to wait until the end of the semester before searching for a job.
“Ning Xuechu, someone is looking for you. She’s a very beautiful female Alpha,” someone came in excitedly and said.
“Who is it?” Ning Xuechu asked.
“I don’t know. She said she’s looking for you and is waiting in the empty classroom next door.”
“Okay, got it. Thanks.” Ning Xuechu packed her books and stood up to leave.
At the door, she saw the woman inside—the same one who had greeted her that day.
“My name is Ning Shuyue,” the woman said, turning around with a smile on her lips.
But the smile wasn’t one of joy at seeing a relative; instead, it carried a sense of pride and arrogance.
Ning Xuechu didn’t like it, but she still put on a look of innocence. “I heard from my sister that you are my cousin. Is that true?”
“Whether it’s true or not, how would I know?” Ning Shuyue sneered, scanning Ning Xuechu from head to toe. “I came to see you this time to confirm your identity. Tomorrow I’ll take you to the hospital for a test. You can call me your cousin after the results come out.”
“I don’t want to go to the hospital,” Ning Xuechu immediately refused, showing fear, stepping back.
“That’s not up to you. This test will only benefit you. If you really are my uncle’s biological daughter, I will make your identity public instead of hiding you like that woman did,” Ning Shuyue said, her voice showing a hint of grit and anger by the end.
It was obvious that she didn’t get along with An Jianqing. When mentioning An Jianqing, her face clearly showed displeasure and resentment.
Ning Xuechu froze.
She had guessed the reason why An Jianqing had hidden her identity but never had the right chance to ask. Perhaps this time, she could use the opportunity to obtain the “Ning family heiress” identity.
“I can go with you to the hospital, but my sister has to agree,” Ning Xuechu said timidly.
“No matter whether An Jianqing agrees or not, you have to take this test,” Ning Shuyue said firmly.
Ning Xuechu lowered her gaze, hiding the dissatisfaction in her eyes.

Ning Xuechu pressed her lips together, lowering her head. “I don’t know…”
“If you don’t want to, I’ll take care of it,” An Jianqing reassured her.
“I… I don’t not want to, I just hope my sister can go with me. Can you?” Ning Xuechu looked up, eyes full of pleading.
“Okay, I’ll go with you,” An Jianqing said without hesitation, smiling as she agreed.
This reaction exceeded Ning Xuechu’s expectations.
She had always thought An Jianqing didn’t want to reveal her identity, but now that she agreed so easily, Ning Xuechu couldn’t guess her intention.
“Sister, you don’t mind, right?” Ning Xuechu asked softly.
“Mind about what?” An Jianqing replied, then understood and explained with a smile, “I originally planned to wait until you adapted to life here and find a suitable time to reveal your identity. Since someone is eager to confirm it, we might as well let them have their way.”
Her words carried a calm confidence, as if everything was under control, completely unafraid of provocation.
Ning Xuechu suddenly realized that An Jianqing was also a formidable person.
She had always been gentle toward her, giving the illusion of being kind and approachable.
In reality, without skill, how could she firmly hold the position of Ning Group’s CEO?
She almost underestimated her.

“Is that so? Then who made the mistake in the last collaboration plan that almost caused failure?” An Jianqing smiled, her calm expression hiding sharpness.
Ning Shuyue choked, her face turning iron gray.
Seeing the two of them face off, Ning Xuechu didn’t dare say a word. After their exchange, she timidly asked, “Sister, should I go in now?”
“Mm, don’t be afraid. With your sister here, nothing will happen,” An Jianqing gently reassured her.
Ning Shuyue snorted, “So fake.”
An Jianqing ignored her, then turned to the doctor. “I hope everything today stays completely confidential. Don’t reveal a single word.”
“Rest assured, President An. I still have professional ethics,” the doctor replied.
