Chapter 49Â
Love Consultation (Part 3)
Yusa Amatsu and I went to see our close friend, Kaminagi Seiya.
At that moment, our dear friend was in the home economics room, wearing an apron and sewing a gym uniform.
The schoolâs âPrince of the Starsâ was⊠surprisingly domestic.
âSo Seiya-senpai really is in the home economics club.â
âDoesnât suit him at all, huh? But for Seiya, itâs a matter of survival.â
After all, being in the club meant he could cover food and clothing expenses through the school budget.
It was rare for a guy to join the home ec club, but Seiya carried himself there confidently. The other members were already used to it.
Though, thanks to Seiya, the number of female members had apparently skyrocketed.
âNever thought youâd fall for Kinori of all people.â
I had already filled Seiya in on the situation beforehand.
Now then, it was time to hear about Urahara-sanâs âadmirationâ from his point of view.
âI canât tell you everythingâKinoriâs feelings are her own, after all.â
âââ
âI see⊠I get it, sort of,â
Seiya said after explaining Urahara-sanâs feelings of admiration.
I turned to see how Amatsu would take it.
âEven so, I still like Urahara-san.â
âI see. Then let me give you just one piece of advice.â
After receiving a single piece of advice from Seiya, Amatsu went home to prepare for tomorrow.
Yesâtomorrow, I had arranged for Amatsu to have another chance to confess to Urahara-san.
Tsukiyo had talked to her and helped set up a space for her to give him a proper answer.
It was a Saturday, but oh wellâŠ
Only Seiya and I remained afterward.
âHey, Seiya, do you think itâll go well?â
âThat depends on Amatsu. Before worrying about dating or not dating, he has to see if he can free Kinori from her twisted emotions. More than thatâare you going too?â
âWell, Iâm already involved. Tsukiyo said sheâd stay by Urahara-sanâs side, and if it doesnât work out, Iâll comfort him as a senior. What about you?â
âIâve got work.â
âYou never changeâŠâ
And then came the fateful Saturday.
Behind the school building, there was a small clearing hidden deep in the woods.
Even if you shouted, no one could hear you, and no one would come to interrupt.
Surprisingly few people knew about this place.
It wasnât used for any club activities either, so no one was likely to show up.
There stood Amatsu, looking determined, his face set like a man ready for battleâ
and beside him, Urahara-san, unable to hide the anxiety on her face.
I didnât know what exactly Tsukiyo and Urahara-san had discussed beforehand,
but⊠all we could do now was watch.
Tsukiyo, standing beside Urahara-san, spoke first.
âYusa-kun, before you confess again, Kinori has something she wants to say. Please listen.â
The gloomy expression that had hung on Urahara-sanâs face until now lifted.
Maybe she had finally made up her mind.
âIâm sorry for running away before!â
She bowed deeply, then raised her head again.
âI honestly thought you meant Tsukiyo or Umi-chan, so I didnât even listen and just ran off. Iâm really sorry for that. But right now, I⊠Iâm going out with someoneââ
âUrahara-san.â
Amatsu cut her off mid-sentence.
Judging from her tone, that was probably the right call.
âI heard a little about you. And about Seiya-senpai too⊠So please, let me say thisânot about dating or not dating, but about how I feel.â
Tsukiyo quietly came to stand next to me.
A confession, huh⊠Someday, Iâd probably do one too.
I glanced at Tsukiyoâs face beside me.
If I were to confess to her someday⊠No, thatâs ridiculous. Letâs not think about impossible things.
âLooks like this is as far as we can go.â
âYeah. The rest is up to them.â
And so, Amatsuâs life-risking confession began.
