Prologue
“Just my luck.”
That was the first thought Sehee had when she opened her eyes in an unfamiliar place.
She had been transported to another dimension, and of all places, she had landed in a forest inhabited by the worst monsters in the empire.
“Haah…”
Before her were countless wolf-like monsters drooling hungrily, while the only thing Sehee had in her hands was a convenience-store bag—the proof that she had stopped by one just moments ago.
“No, the bag is still here, so where did everything inside it go…?!”
[Detecting a critical threat to the player’s survival.]
[Forcing the activation of the ‘Super System’!]
“What? Super? What are you suddenly talking about?”
[Current Rank: Unlicensed Temporary Shop]
[Items Owned: 1 pack of Instant Ramen / Wooden Chopsticks / 500 ml Bottled Water]
Sehee stared at the screen for a moment before muttering,
“…What am I supposed to do with one packet of ramen?”
[Your labor will soon become the sacred welfare of this other world. (Work songs recommended)]
“You’ve got to be kidding me…”
At that moment, the wolves stepped forward.
Sehee squeezed her eyes shut.
Quite a lot of time had passed since then.
Night had fallen over the capital of the Astell Empire.
Magical signs covering the exteriors of massive buildings lit up all at once.
Hundreds of customers stood in line, while nobles, knights, mages, and merchants continuously streamed through the entrance.
“Please don’t push!”
“The ramen machines are on the right! Soup refills are over there!”
The convenience-store employees shouted.
Inside the store, automatic ramen machines were running nonstop.
Boiling water poured out, noodles were added, and bowls continuously rolled down the line.
“We’ve sold more than 3,000 bowls of ramen today alone!”
“Good. Let’s bring in two more machines tomorrow.”
The person tapping away at the cash register as she spoke was Han Sehee, once an ordinary office worker.
She rapidly tapped her calculator and muttered,
“The turnover rate is way too low. We need more ramen machines, and we should rearrange the tables.”
“Sei.”
People naturally parted to make way.
It was Duke Cassian, infamous as a cold-blooded man with black hair and chilling eyes.
“Were you overworking yourself again?”
“How can someone in the business of making money not overwork themselves?”
Sehee replied while tapping away at her calculator.
Besides, I have to go back.
A system window had appeared before her eyes.
[Main Quest]
Achieve sufficient results in this other world.
Reward: A way to return to your original world.
Until then, I just have to keep running the business.
Behind her, the employees were shouting.
“Maximum Gold Box coming through!”
“Fifty more Knight Order ramens!”
“The Mage Tower just ordered 200 bottles of Bakgas!”
Sehee briefly raised her head.
A delivery cart pulled by monsters crossed the street.
In the sky, flying monsters carried logistics crates from one place to another.
And emblazoned across the exterior of a department store was its name:
[SH Department Store – Main Branch]
Sehee sighed.
“So… it all started with one packet of ramen.”
A moment later, she added,
“How did my business end up reaching all the way to the divine realm?”
