The day of the visit.

We headed to the separate residence where Duchess Flora was staying.

Carriages are like cars—they make me really motion-sick. I asked them to open the window a little, but the spinning feeling wouldn’t stop.

I hope we get there soon…

“Those cookies you made yesterday, Tiana—they were really delicious. Thank you.”

“I’m glad! I was thinking of giving some to Mother, too. What do you think?”

Tiana asked Ellie.

“I think that’s a wonderful idea! I’m sure Mother will love them. I’m going to give her a handkerchief I embroidered myself.”

“Eh? What kind of embroidery did you do?”

Wow, my sister can sew too? Maybe she really does have that heroine’s ‘can-do-anything’ power.

Ellie took a handkerchief out of her bag.

“Ta-da! I embroidered our family. It’s a little rough, though.”

Saying that, Ellie showed Tiana her work.

Each person’s traits were clearly captured. Considering her age, it must have been difficult to express details like hair and expressions, but the stitches were delicate and full of care.

“Sis, that’s amazing! Really amazing!”

The cookies I made suddenly feel so plain in comparison. But I’m sure Mother will love her handkerchief.

Since Mother doesn’t get to see the family very often, I drew a picture of everyone—but maybe I shouldn’t give it to her.

Tiana took a deep breath and tried to reset her mood.

The outside air felt so fresh and pleasant.
