Prologue. The Path of a Leader
Long ago…
A traveler was journeying through a forest when he stopped to rest for a while beneath a large tree.
Just then, a troop of monkeys crossed onto the tree against which the traveler was leaning and began to play.
After casually watching the monkeys for quite some time, the traveler noticed something very strange.
Usually, the leader of a troop was the strongest and largest young monkey, but the leader of this particular troop was an old, small-framed monkey.
Yet none of the larger and stronger monkeys ever failed to obey and respect that old, frail leader.
The traveler was so curious about this that he made camp there and began observing the troop for several days.
A few days later, the traveler came to understand the reason.
Whenever the monkeys went looking for food, the frail leader would always climb up and pick the fruit from the highest and most dangerous places, then distribute it evenly among the other monkeys, and whenever a fight broke out with monkeys from another troop, the leader would always stand at the very front and fight without any concern for himself.
Then one day, a mother monkey began crying out after another troop of monkeys took her baby away from her.
At that moment, the leader monkey charged into the fight all by himself, and after rescuing the baby and returning covered in blood, he handed it back to its mother.
After suffering those injuries, the leader was no longer able to lead the troop, so before dawn, he secretly disappeared from the troop without anyone knowing and was never seen among them again.
Whether among humans or beasts, I believe the path of a leader is the same.
I truly no longer know who is right and who is wrong!
I only wish to follow someone who possesses the qualifications of a true leader!
