Hinata’s Second Personality
With a creak, the study door slowly opened.
A small figure walked into the dim room.
Moonlight streamed in from outside, stretching the child’s shadow across the floor.
“What a hassle. I thought you wouldn’t follow me.”
Menma stepped out from the shadows, scratching his head in confusion.
The “Limited Tsukuyomi World” was supposed to be fake, so why had Dark Kurama followed him here? And why had his girlfriend come as well?
Inside the Hyuga Clan Head’s study, two figures—one large, one small—stood less than two meters apart.
Uzumaki Menma removed the white three-eyed fox mask and looked down at the small figure standing in the moonlight.
Hyuga Hinata.
Compared to the gentle and timid Hinata he knew, the girl standing before him now had her Byakugan activated. Veins bulged around her temples as she stared at Menma after he removed his mask.
Within those pure white eyes surged hatred and emotions too complicated to describe.
Hinata raised one hand and gathered Gentle Fist chakra before charging straight at him.
“You—!”
She leaped forward.
Tears fell before her fist did.
“You cheating jerk!”
Her Gentle Fist strike landed squarely on Menma’s chest.
His Transformation Jutsu immediately collapsed.
Poof!
A cloud of smoke dispersed, revealing Menma’s true child-sized appearance.
“I’m sorry, Hinata.”
Those soft words finally broke her restraint.
She threw herself into his arms and burst into tears.
“You knew! You knew that no matter what you did, I would forgive you!”
Crying, she opened her mouth and bit hard into his shoulder, venting years of grievance.
“Hiss— You actually bit me!”
Menma sucked in a breath of pain but allowed her to do as she pleased.
The gentle Hinata from the manga and anime would never have done something like this.
But if this was the straightforward and hot-tempered “Boss Lady Hinata” from the Limited Tsukuyomi movie world, then it made perfect sense.
A while later, after she had cried herself tired, Hinata sat on Hiashi’s desk.
Tear marks still lingered around her eyes.
Resting her cheeks in her hands, she watched Menma transform into an adult again and search through her father’s collection of books.
After waking up earlier, she had been escorted back to the main residence. From the guards, she learned about the night’s attack and the mysterious person wearing a white three-eyed fox mask who had infiltrated the Hyuga Clan.
Since then, she had kept her Byakugan active.
She vaguely remembered Menma’s interest in Hyuga history, so she was certain he would return tonight.
As expected, she caught him in the study.
“If our world was fake, then why do I exist?” Hinata asked.
“I’ve been wondering the same thing. It’s not just you. Dark Kurama has also revived inside me.”
Menma flipped through the books.
Anything useful or historically valuable was immediately sealed into a storage scroll.
There were too many books to finish reading in one night.
“But I can clearly feel that world rejecting me. Everything feels unreal. There’s no legend of the Sage of Six Paths there. Yet the feelings you all gave me felt completely real. Sometimes I really can’t tell what’s true anymore.”
The more Menma thought about it, the more his head began to ache.
The veins on his temples twitched.
“Well… how should I explain this…”
Dressed in a white kimono, little Hinata swung her bare feet back and forth.
“Actually, there’s another personality inside this body. Or maybe another soul. Her personality is completely opposite of mine.”
She pointed at her chest.
“Hm?”
Menma turned to look at her.
He had assumed that when Boss Lady Hinata appeared, the other Hinata had disappeared.
So it was actually two souls sharing one body?
“Little Hinata, let me introduce you. This is the cheating boyfriend I always tell you about—Menma.”
Hinata raised her head and spoke to herself.
Then she lowered it again.
The next moment, her head shot back up, but her face was now full of embarrassment and panic.
“S-Sis… don’t say things like that…”
The blushing little Hinata, who looked as though steam might rise from her head at any moment, was clearly the original Hinata from the manga and anime.
Menma looked at her with interest.
He placed a hand on her head and gently ruffled her short hair.
“Nice to meet you. My name is Menma.”
“H-Hello… my name is Hinata too…”
Her voice was barely louder than a mosquito’s buzz.
Feeling the warmth of his hand on her head made her blush even harder.
She lowered her head, twisting her fingers together in front of her chest while her delicate feet curled shyly.
“So how should I tell the two of you apart?”
Menma bent down closer to her.
“Um… normally… I’m the one outside… My sister spends most of her time sleeping…”
Little Hinata spoke quietly while staring at the face so close to hers.
It seemed Boss Lady Hinata’s soul also required chakra to remain active.
Menma fell into thought.

“Alright. Then I’ll call you Little Hinata.”
Menma liked this version of Hinata very much.
“You can call me Menma. Or you can just call me brother-in-law.”
He pointed at himself with a thumb.
Little Hinata’s round face was filled with shyness.
There seemed to be a light shining within her white eyes as she looked at him.
Ever since she could remember, she had known that another personality lived inside her body.
As the heir of the Hyuga Main Family, Hinata had undergone strict training since childhood.
However, her gentle and timid personality often disappointed her father and the clan elders.
Whenever it mattered most, Boss Lady Hinata would emerge.

She constantly referred to Hiashi and the clan elders with disrespectful nicknames like “old geezer,” “old fossil,” and “old man.”
It could be said that every Hyuga ninja—from main family elders to branch family guards—had been verbally roasted by Boss Lady Hinata.
Hiashi Hyuga both liked and felt helpless toward her second personality.
He admired her talent, decisiveness, and leadership qualities, believing she was perfectly suited to inherit the main family.
Yet at the same time, her constant habit of calling him “old geezer” showed absolutely none of the refinement expected from a noble clan heir.
Little Hinata had also heard her sister mention her cheating boyfriend countless times.

Suddenly, Hinata slapped Menma’s hand away.

“When we were together, you were all sweet and affectionate! Saying all those cheesy love lines! You even said you’d have a son and a daughter with me!”
Remembering how this man had tricked her and taken advantage of her in that world, Boss Lady Hinata clenched her fists in fury.
“I-Is this really something I should be hearing?”
Inside their shared mental space, Little Hinata’s face had become so red she looked like a steam engine.
She covered her face with both hands.
“Well… that was back then, wasn’t it?”
Menma awkwardly withdrew his hand.
“Go to hell, you cheating scumbag!”
The response flying toward him was another Gentle Fist strike!
