Paper Characters
When Yu Wei received a message from Qiu Lei, he had just come out of the shower.
He had gone straight to the company after sending Shi Ciyan and Yu Song back to school that afternoon. The noon meeting had been delayed because he was sent to the hospital, and a pile of work had accumulated, forcing him to work overtime to finish it.
Yes, even as a CEO, he still had to work overtime. Yu Wei sighed at how miserable life was.

Yu Wei rubbed his face and replied to Qiu Lei during a red light:
“I’ll be there in about half an hour.”

“Brother, we’re at the City Center Hospital.”

As expected, Yu Song’s eyes widened. Tears welled up.
“I don’t care! I don’t need you!”
He turned and stormed off, clearly wanting to be chased after.
Yu Wei rubbed his temples in frustration.
Before he could calm down, he turned to Lin Yuchi.
“You should also apologize.”
Lin Yuchi looked stunned. “Me?”
Yu Wei gave a slight nod.

“I’ll help you treat your wounds.”
Lin Yuchi quickly stood up. “I can do it myself.”

“Then sit.”

“Patient has been given a sedative, but his condition is still unstable. He needs to stay in an isolation room for two days. You may leave.”
Sedative? Isolation room?

“Is he that serious?”

He watched the doctor leave, then tried pushing the ward door.

“He’s not stable, visitors aren’t allowed,” Lin Yuchi said.

The three of them left the hospital.
Outside, Yu Song was squatting by the roadside.
Yu Wei opened the car remotely, told the others to get in first, and walked over to him.

“Get up, we’re leaving.”

“Get up or not?”

“Then leave.”

Yu Song was still a child at heart.
He squatted down and softened his tone.

“Don’t fight with Shi Ciyan and Lin Yuchi anymore. Be good.”
Yu Song suddenly stopped.

“I fought them? Who said that? You think I attack people for no reason?”
Yu Wei said nothing.
Because in the book, as a “paper character,” Yu Song really did behave exactly like this—causing trouble as the so-called villainous supporting role.
And everything… followed the author’s script.
