Chapter 1
Jingqiu first met Qiran when he was severely injured.
He had fallen deep into the dangerous abyss, into a strange foggy forest. The forest was filled with poison. After escaping a beast, he accidentally entered this place and was poisonedâhis life hanging by a thread.
In his fading consciousness, he only saw a person walking out through the mist.
White clothes like snow, a face like a painting.
At that moment, it felt like he had seen a celestial being.
Because no human in this world could possibly look that beautiful.
When he opened his eyes again, Jingqiu was leaning against a tree.
His poisoned, swollen blackened wounds were gone.
Not only thatâevery injury on his body had disappeared. He felt completely refreshed, as if he had never been injured at all.
He stood up and looked around. This was a peach blossom forest, full of blooming flowers and a faint fragrance.
His cultivation was still intact, spiritual energy flowing normally.
Then he thought of the person he saw before losing consciousnessâand took a few steps forward.
On a slanted peach branch, someone was lying there.
Among the blooming peach blossoms, a white-robed man rested quietly on a thin branch. His long hair flowed like a waterfall, and his beauty was beyond mortal description.
Everything around him became meaningless background.
Only he remainedâpure, detached, almost divine.
Jingqiu, a disciple of the Heavenly Realm ancestor, was known for being cold and indifferent. He believed he would never be moved by appearances.
But at that moment, his heart pounded like thunder.
Unknowingly, he stepped forward.
When he reacted again, he had already done something against all reasonâ
He leaned in and kissed the person on the branch.
His breath stopped.
The lips were soft, carrying a faint peach blossom fragrance.
Then he quickly stepped back, panic flooding his mind.
âWhat am I doingâŚ?â
The man on the branch slowly opened his eyes.
Light scattered in his gaze like broken sunlight.
Jingqiuâs heartbeat went completely out of control.
He immediately spoke loudly:
âThank you for saving my life!â
Qiran looked at him, then touched his lips with curiosity.
âIs this how people from outside the mountain greet each other?â
ââŚY-yes.â
Jingqiuâs mind went blank.
Qiran smiled slightly, pulled him closer by the neck, and kissed him on the cheek.
âThen letâs exchange tokens and become pen pals. Whatâs your name?â
âJingqiu.â
âIâm Qiran.â
Later
âYou really donât want to fight for power? Youâre a prince of the divine dynasty and also the disciple of the Heavenly Realm ancestor. With your identity, you could have a place anywhere. But if you stay indifferent, they might kill you!â
A young man in golden robes tapped the table with his fan.
Jingqiu sat calmly, writing letters.
On the table lay four sheets of paper filled with dense writing, all protected by a secrecy formation.
No one could see the content clearly.
But they could see he was writing a fifth page.
It included what he ate, what he saw, who he met, how he felt, and his mood.
The man couldnât help but laugh.
âWho exactly is your little lover? Youâre this obsessed.â
Jingqiu did not respond.
Suddenly, a wooden bird flew over.
Jingqiu immediately looked up.
He opened it and read the message.
âWuwu, my master kicked me down the mountain.â
In an instant, concern flashed through Jingqiuâs eyes.
He stood up immediately and rushed toward the teleportation array.
âWhere are you going?!â the man shouted behind him.
But Jingqiu was already gone.
Three decades ago, the legendary immortal mountain appeared in the abyss.
Countless people went to explore it, but none succeeded.
Jingqiu arrived at the fog-covered forest.
He saw many powerful figures gathered thereânobles, cultivators, and royals.
Then a familiar figure emerged.
A man in royal clothing, holding a white cat with blue eyes.
âJingqiu? Youâre here too?â
Jingqiu replied calmly:
âGreetings, Your Highness.â
The prince looked at him coldly.
âYouâre also here for him?â
