Chapter – 93Â
You Are the Biggest Fool (Second Update)
A strange warmth suddenly rose in Mu Wanwanâs heart, but she still kept a cold expression and pushed him.
âLet go of me.â
Lu Li stepped back slightly, his brows tightly knitted.
âWhatâs wrong with you?â Seeing that something was not right, Mu Wanwan grabbed his arm and looked at him anxiously.
âIâm fine,â he said.
Suddenly, a faint smell of blood drifted into her nose. Mu Wanwanâs expression changed slightly. She suddenly remembered something.
She reached her hand under his arm and lightly touched his back. When she pulled her hand back, she looked at it.
Bright red blood covered her fingertips.
âLu Li⊠youâre injured?â she said with a trembling voice.
Lu Li frowned slightly. Seeing the worry in her eyes, he cupped her face with his large hand and said in a hoarse voice,
âItâs just a small injury. Did you get hurt anywhere?â
Mu Wanwan caught sight of the thorny bushes behind him from the corner of her eye. Tears shimmered in her eyes.
âLet me see your wound.â
âBe good. Listen to me. Did you get hurt anywhere else?â Lu Liâs gaze stayed fixed on her as he carefully looked over her body inch by inch, afraid that she had been injured when he wasnât there.
Her concern made him feel warm, but he hated seeing her cry.
Lu Li laughed softly and teased her.
âYouâre crying for me. Can I think that youâre feeling sorry for me now?â
âWanwan⊠WanwanâŠâ
He held her with one arm and gently patted her face with the other, calling her anxiously.
Her thin short-sleeved shirt had many tears in it. His smooth back was covered with scratches of different depths. Some even had small thorn spikes still stuck in them.
She stretched out her hand. Her fingertips trembled, freezing in the air. She did not dare to touch his wounds.
Lu Li looked around and noticed a small cave not far away. He picked up the wet coat from the ground, then lifted her into his arms and quickly walked toward it.
His cold lips⊠familiar after so long.
The cave entrance was low, so Lu Li had to bend down to enter.
His back looked terribly injured. Even the rainwater dripping from his clothes had been dyed red by the blood.
Mu Wanwanâs words suddenly stopped. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly as she met the manâs smiling eyes. Her mind instantly went blank.
Lu Li heard the quiet sobbing behind him and quickly turned around, pulling her into his arms. The corner of his lips lifted slightly.
âWhat are you crying for? My little Mu isnât someone who cries so easily.â
Mu Wanwan buried her face in his chest, her tears falling even harder.
âLu Li, youâre the biggest fool! Do you know your whole back is covered with wounds?â
âMu Wanwan, youââ Lu Li had just opened his mouth to tease her again.
But the next moment, the person standing in front of him suddenly went weak and collapsed to the side.
Mu Wanwan lifted her head from his chest.
âYouâŠâ
âDonât move, or Iâll never talk to you again.â
Mu Wanwanâs eyes were tightly closed, and she didnât respond for a long time.
After a while, Lu Li let go of her. Mu Wanwan stood there blankly. A faint blush spread across her pale cheeks, and her steps felt weak, as if she were walking on cotton.
The heavy rain covered everything around them. Lightning split the night sky, and Lu Liâs bloody back was exposed in Mu Wanwanâs sight.
The smile in Lu Liâs eyes disappeared instantly. He reacted quickly and reached out to catch her.
The more he tried to stop her from seeing his wounds, the more anxious Mu Wanwan became.
She shook off his hand and walked behind him. Lu Li was about to stop her, but she spoke first.
The cave was completely dark. You could barely see your own hand in front of your face.
Lu Li spread the coat on the ground and let Mu Wanwan sit and lean against it.
The abandoned cave had only a pile of dry yellow grass and a simple small table and chair. It seemed that someone had stayed here before.
