“Xuechu, do you want to work at the Ning Corporation?” An Qing asked.

Ning Xuechu’s eyes lit up at those words.

Her heart raced with excitement, and she let out a couple of sobs before raising her watery eyes. “Sister, can I really do it?”

“Of course you can. You’re the daughter of the Ning family—what’s wrong with working at your own company?” An Qing said with a smile.

This had been her plan all along. She just hadn’t said anything earlier because she didn’t want to crush Ning Xuechu’s enthusiasm for finding a job.

Ning Xuechu hadn’t expected things to go so smoothly. She had thought she’d have to continue playing the victim to get what she wanted.

The unexpected outcome filled her with joy, yet it felt unreal. She couldn’t help but ask again, “Sister, if I work at Ning Corporation, won’t people say something? I’m just a recent college graduate and an ordinary Omega. How could I…”

Ning Corporation was a major local company, and a good position there would attract many highly qualified and outstanding Alphas. Compared to them, she had no advantage.

“Don’t worry. If I say yes, then it’s yes,” An Qing said with a smile. “You should redo your resume and start in sales.”

“Sales?” Ning Xuechu’s eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t believe what she’d heard.

“Yes, do it properly,” An Qing said seriously, her eyes full of affirmation.

Ning Xuechu’s initial excitement was completely washed away by that statement.

This result was far from what she had imagined, but she had no choice but to accept it.

Looking at it differently, entering Ning Corporation was the only way she could achieve her goals.

Her heart gradually calmed, and she got into the car, her cheeks slightly flushed, smiling at An Qing. “Sister, I was really embarrassing today. I made you worry so much.”

“Next time, don’t do that,” An Qing said with a gentle laugh, her tone indulgent but with a hint of mock scolding. “You really scared me.”

“I won’t ever again,” Ning Xuechu obediently promised.

Though Ning Xuechu had a few reservations, she obediently remade her resume.

She submitted it in the morning and received an interview invitation that very afternoon.

After packing the things she needed, Ning Xuechu took a taxi to the interview location.

The Ning Corporation office building was grand and imposing, inspiring awe. Working here was something to be proud of.

And An Qing stood at the very top of everyone’s admiration, managing all those people.

Ning Xuechu smiled faintly, her expression polite, and entered the building.

As soon as she did, the receptionist greeted her warmly. “Miss Ning, here for an interview? Please come this way.”

Hearing her name called so accurately, Ning Xuechu paused in surprise before smiling in thanks.

She was certain that An Qing had given prior notice; that was why the receptionist was so courteous.

Ning Xuechu felt cheerful as she entered the elevator and adjusted her makeup and appearance in the mirror.

At other companies, she would have had to wait at least half an hour. This time, someone immediately took her to the interview room.

She opened the door and politely said, “Hello, I’m here for an interview.”

The people inside didn’t say anything at first, only smiling warmly.

Ning Xuechu felt the voice was familiar and looked up to see Ning Xun.

She widened her eyes in surprise and glanced around. “Little aunt, why is it you?”

“I heard from Qing…” Ning Xun began but immediately realized her slip and corrected herself. “I saw your resume and couldn’t help coming. Don’t be nervous—just act like you don’t know me.”

Ning Xuechu wasn’t nervous, only surprised.

She knew Ning Xun’s position in the company was quite high. It was unusual for her to personally handle a small interview like this. The fact that she was here showed not only interest but also a kind of respect.

It seemed she was finally starting to treat her as ‘family’.

Ning Xuechu sat obediently and began her self-introduction seriously.

Ning Xun listened, twirling a pen in her hand, and when Ning Xuechu finished, she asked, “Why are you interviewing for a sales position? If you want another position, given Qing’s indulgence toward you, I think she would agree.”

The word “indulgence” clearly indicated An Qing’s intervention and the weight she gave this matter.

Otherwise, Ning Xun wouldn’t have cared enough to interview a recent graduate, let alone an ordinary Omega.

“I know my abilities aren’t suitable for other positions. I’m very grateful for my sister’s and little aunt’s care,” Ning Xuechu said earnestly, her eyes sincere.

Ning Xun stared at her for a moment and slowly smiled. “Congratulations, you’re hired. Come to work tomorrow.”

“Thank you, little aunt,” Ning Xuechu said, her eyes sparkling with delight as she stood and bowed respectfully.

“From now on at the company, don’t call me little aunt. Call me Supervisor Ning,” Ning Xun said with a smile, her seriousness softened by care.

“Supervisor Ning, I will remember,” Ning Xuechu replied seriously, nodding.

After leaving the Ning Corporation building, Ning Xuechu went to a nearby bubble tea shop and ordered a mango-flavored drink.

She took a casual sip, then looked up at the Ning Corporation building.

Starting tomorrow, she would be working here.

“Xuechu, congratulations on passing the interview,” An Qing sent her a message.

Ning Xuechu smiled faintly, her expression calm, and typed with one hand: “Thank you, sister. I’m really happy. From now on, I’ll be working in the same building as you.”

Excitement danced between the lines, though her face remained composed.

“Yes, Xuechu, you must perform well. Even as an Omega, you can be just as good as an Alpha,” An Qing encouraged.

Ning Xuechu was stunned, unable to believe a senior Alpha would say such a thing.

After a pause, she replied, “I will work hard and won’t let you down, sister.”
