Seeing that face, like he’s about to cry, makes my heart stir — just a little.
But Akihito knows.
He knows that yesterday, Yuu said those exact same words to the man he was with.
He remembers the moment those light, empty words spilled from those thin, beautiful lips.
“I loved you too. Up until just a little while ago.”
I wonder how this smile of mine looks to Yuu now, the way my lips curl up.
Yuu looks down and takes his phone out of his pocket.
“I deleted everyone else’s contacts…”
Looking at Yuu’s phone screen, Akihito sees that every name — except his own and Yuu’s family — is gone.
“I really only need you, Akihito… nothing else matters.”
Seeing that, Akihito feels his mind go cold.
“Ah…”
