Synopsis
My name is Toughie. Iโm a baby soul living on a baby star.
โMommy, Daddy! I want to see you again!โ
I missed my family so much, even though I had only spent a little time with them. So I begged and pleaded with God until I was reincarnated as a five-year-old girl.
Apparently, if I go to Monster Island, where wishes are granted, Iโll be able to see my family again.
โBut I have to defeat monsters, Toughie?โ
No way! There are so many things that scare me!
[โป The Childrenโs Filter has been activated! It changes frightening things into things that arenโt scary.]
Huh? The scary monsters look like cute animals now!
All I did was pet them, hug them, and shower them with as much affection as I wanted.
And now Iโm being called the greatest hero of all time?!
So, Mommy, Daddy, and Big Brother, donโt cry. Just wait for me!
Toughie is getting super strong so she can come back and see you all again!
Meanwhile, in the Grand Dukeโs Castle, darkness had descended.
[It is said that even the dead can be brought back to life on Monster Island.]
By the time the end of his cigar had turned white and crumbled into ash, the man had reached his decision.
He would set out to resurrect his youngest daughter, who had died.
But thenโฆ
โJust what are you? Are you a monster?โ
โYes, yes! Monstewโฆ I am!โ
A little girl he happened to encounter on Monster Island resembled his daughter.
And for some reason, she was getting on his nerves.
Quite a lot, actually.
