Synopsis
Kang Iju, a team leader at S Corporation’s call center, is enjoying an exceptionally satisfying work-life balance. He is highly valued at work for his abilities, and in his private life, he has also established himself as a handsome, considerate top.
Recently, however, there is one person whose very name makes his teeth grind.
For some reason, Oh Se-jun seems to have nothing better to do than file complaints with the call center day after day, and night after night. As a result, not only the other counselors but even Iju have reached the point where they grit their teeth whenever they hear the name Oh Se-jun.
One day, while dealing with yet another argument disguised as one of Se-jun’s complaints, Iju finally loses his temper and lashes out at him.
Not long afterward, he discovers Se-jun’s true identity: Director Oh, a member of the group’s owner family.
And so their uncomfortable cohabitation, or rather, their uncomfortable life at the company continues.
Then one day, Iju receives an outrageous proposal from Se-jun.
βExactly three months. That’s all. Even I can’t keep this up any longer than that.β
ββ¦β¦β
Seeing Se-jun set a definite time limit from the very beginning, Iju looked at him suspiciously.
Without wiping the smile from his face, Se-jun gave a brief reply.
βAs you’ve heard, I’m getting married soon. Once the three months are over. Isn’t this a decent enough arrangement, with no hard feelings afterward?β
For some reason, Iju suddenly felt a surge of anger.
He couldn’t understand why.
As though he could read Iju’s fierce glare, Se-jun pulled out the key card he had been keeping in his suit pocket and lightly waved it between his fingers.
βAre you scared?β
The card, unmistakably a hotel room key, glittered beneath the bright chandelier lights.
Iju’s eyes, which had been staring at it, turned cold.
Scared?
Not a chance.
If Se-jun wanted to do this so badly, Iju had no reason to refuse.
He couldn’t understand why someone this arrogant and self-assured was making such a fuss because he couldn’t get into bed with him.
Iju looked over Se-jun’s confident face and let out a faint laugh.
A man taller than him wasn’t really his type, but he supposed he could just close his eyes and show Se-jun what he was capable of.
Iju’s gaze shifted toward the card as if he wanted to bite into it, then returned to Se-jun with an icy expression.
He opened his mouth.
βI’ll accept. But don’t come whining to me three months from now that you don’t want to get married because of me.β
