Prologue
Chapter : 01
âHmmâŚ.â
Jaehyuk pushed deeper inside Nayeonâs lips with a sticky insistence.
As his moist tongue forced its way in and passionately explored her mouth, Nayeon gasped and accepted him.
âAh, oppaâŚ.â
This was a dimly lit hotel room.
On the bed, where their heated bodies were pressed together, the only sounds were their rough breaths.
The man, his body burning with heat, was too absorbed in exploring the womanâs body to notice the passage of time.
Jaehyuk intertwined his fingers with hers and pinned her hands above her head.
Unable to move, Nayeon could only receive his caresses from beneath him.
âWhere do you live? Who are you?â
He buried his face in her pale nape, slowly moving down toward her collarbone and chest.
Though he was a respectable doctor who had lived an upright life, on the bed, he was nothing but a man.
âI-I canât tell you⌠Ah.â
He had wanted to know her identity for a long time.
If he knew where she lived, he wouldnât have to contact her late every night and make plans to meet. He could simply come to her door, call her out, and see her face.
Then it would be easier for them to sleep together.
âIf you wonât tell me, fine. I can just keep calling you out like this.â
âAhh.â
But Nayeon could never tell him.
âThat Iâm the short-haired girl who lives downstairs.â
Their hot breaths mingled, and Jaehyuk pulled her closer, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist.
As though they were an inconvenience, he removed even her underwear and prepared to enter her.
His lust-filled eyes stared at Nayeon as if he intended to devour her.
Jaehyuk cupped her chin and spoke in a rough, husky voice.
âYouâre beautiful.â
ââŚâŚâ
âEspecially your breasts.â
His gaze shifted to her full, overflowing breasts, and he gently squeezed one.
Feeling the softness crushed beneath Jaehyukâs hand, she closed her eyes.
âIâm going to do it now. Relax your body.â
His deep, cavernous voice flowed into her ears, dark as though it had risen from the depths of an abyss.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
As her heartbeat accelerated, blood rushed through her body.
The instant she felt his thick, hard body, his arm coiled around her upper body like a snake.
âAhâŚ.â
Her body shook.
And so did her heart.
She had never imagined that the relationship she had begun because of her admiration and reverence for the man upstairs would turn into this.
She had gone to a club wanting to indulge in a little rebellion, never dreaming that she would meet the man upstairs there.
She had genuinely fallen for him, but he only wanted her body.
âI thought I was going crazy when you said we couldnât meet yesterday.â
There was no turning back from this relationship now.
âSo youâd better be prepared for today.â
âAhh.â
What would oppa do if he found out that she was the girl who lived downstairs
Would he still want to continue their relationship as partners?
âYouâre driving me crazy.â
No.
She didnât think he would want to continue.
His hot, powerful body continued moving against hers as he shook her fiercely.
Relentless movements. Pleasure so intense that she could no longer tell whether she was awake or dreaming, while her vision rocked wildly up and down.
Sensual beads of sweat trickled down his muscular body.
Her entire body was consumed by thrilling pleasure at his touch.
With her senses and mind completely muddled, Nayeon could do nothing but cling to Jaehyukâs neck, wrapping her arms tightly around him.
As though he were the only man in the world.
She didnât know how long she could continue deceiving him, but for now, she couldnât bring herself to stop this indulgence.
âOppaâŚ.â
All Nayeon wanted was to hold him tighter and feel him.
âIm Nayeon is ugly. Sheâs uglyââ
âUgly Im Nayeon has short hair, so she looks like a boy! Youâre not a girl, are you? Youâre a boy, right? Haha.â
After being teased relentlessly by countless boys, Nayeon ran home crying and threw herself into her mother Sukjinâs arms.
âMom, how long do I have to keep hiding myself like this? Canât I grow my hair out like Narin and my other friends? I want to wear pretty dresses, too.â
At some point, she had asked why.
Why was her younger sister Narin allowed to live freely while Nayeon alone was forced to live under such strict restrictions?
âThe Taoist of Mount Wolak said you have to be raised like a tomboy! You must never reveal your beautiful appearanceâŚ. Thatâs the only way you can live safely and preserve your life without getting into trouble. You know that, donât you? So whenever you go out in public, you must always hide yourself.â
âYes, I understandâŚ.â
Ever since Nayeon was little, Sukjin had bought her only boysâ clothes and raised her like a boy.
To a daughter, her motherâs words were practically the law, and even now that Nayeon was an adult, little had changed.
Before leaving the house, Nayeon naturally stopped in front of the mirror.
First, she twisted her long, thick hair into a bun and tucked it into a wig cap.
Then she put on a short, shaggy full wig that made her look like a tomboy.
The wig had long, untidy bangs that covered enough of Nayeonâs large, beautiful eyes to hide them.
With only her nose and mouth visible, she also put on a pair of thick, oversized prescriptionless round glasses.
Her eyes, already hidden beneath her bangs, were now almost completely obscured by the glasses.
âOops. I almost forgot the most important thing.â
Nayeon opened a drawer and took out a compression bandage.
Her breasts were so large and full that they inevitably attracted attention wherever she went, so she tightly wrapped them in the bandage.
Her pale, abundant chest, which would otherwise draw everyoneâs gaze and seemed almost ready to burst out of her clothes, was carefully bound down.
âBind your chest tightly so it doesnât look large.â
Repeating the words Sukjin had always told her, Nayeon used the bandage to conceal her prominent figure.
Finally, she checked that the yellow talisman tucked inside her phone case was still there.
The talisman had also been given to Sukjin by the Taoist of Mount Wolak, and it was an essential item Nayeon had to carry whenever she went outside.
Nayeon opened her closet and put on long pants and a loose, oversized short-sleeved shirt that reached her elbows.
With that, she had completed every preparation necessary to conceal herself.
She had to take meticulous measures to completely hide her true appearance before she could venture out into the outside world.
Click.
At last, Nayeon turned the doorknob, opened her bedroom door, and stepped into the living room.
Sukjin and the woman from upstairs turned at the sound and looked at her.
Sukjin was sociable and knew many of the neighbors in the apartment building.
Hwayeon, the woman who lived upstairs, was a frequent visitor to their home.
âEldest daughter, are you up?â
âYes, Mom.â
After greeting Sukjin, Nayeon also greeted Hwayeon.
âHello, maâam. Youâre here?â
âYes, itâs Nayeon. Did you sleep well since itâs the weekend?â
âYes. I was tired, so I slept in.â
âOf course. You must be exhausted working at such a good company. You should sleep late and rest on the weekends. Getting into JK Corporation isnât easy, you know.â
Nayeon had recently joined the major corporation JK Corporation immediately after graduating from university.
Knowing how Nayeon had been working frantically and staying late as a new employee, Hwayeon offered her words of encouragement.
âOh, right! I should tell Nayeon, too. Nayeon, do you remember my son?â
âPardon?â
âYou know, Jaehyuk oppa, who went off to college after living with me. My son has come back home.â
The man upstairs
âMy Jaehyuk suddenly packed up his things and came home. Heâll be commuting from here, so youâll probably run into him from time to time. Make sure you greet him when you see him, okay? Youâre neighbors, after all.â
Sukjin, who had been listening beside them, added a word.
âNayeon, you remember him, donât you? You know, that older boy who was the whole-school president when you were in middle school. He used to study with you and tutor you, and your grades shot up.â
âAhâŚ. Yes, I remember.â
There was no way I could forget.
Those long, thick fingers that had sat right beside my desk as he solved math problems for me, the faint scent of soap that always lingered around him, and that handsome face as though it had been sculpted by hand.
Not only back thenâeven after becoming a working adult, Nayeon had never met a man as strikingly handsome as him.
âAh, so that oppa⌠has come back.â
But she pretended not to know and answered casually.
ââŚâŚIt was already ten years ago, so my memories are a little hazy.â
âYes, it was quite a long time ago, wasnât it?â
âYes.â
As far as Nayeon knew, Jaehyuk was working as an orthopedic surgery resident at Seowoo University Hospital.
âHe lived near Seowoo University with his father for nine years, so when I think about how I was practically running three households, whewâŚ.â
Hwayeon shook her head, and Sukjin sympathized with her.
âYou really are amazing, Hwayeon. You take care of your sick mother here, while your husband and son are both doctors, so you travel all the way to Seoul to bring them side dishes and stock their refrigeratorsâŚ. You really are such a hardworking person.â
âEven so, I want them to eat proper home-cooked food. My brilliant medical-school son and my husband, who takes on every busy task in the worldâI used to go back and forth twice a week to make them meals and side dishes. Now that one of them is coming here, I only have to take care of my husband, so you have no idea how much easier things have become.â
Sukjin and Hwayeon continued chatting.
Nayeon stood quietly in the same spot, listening to their conversation without saying a word.
The man upstairs, who was a professor at Seowoo Universityâs medical school, and his son had two separate homes in Seoul where they stayed.
And Hwayeon planned to remain here, at her childhood home, until her ailing mother passed away. Afterward, she would go to Seoul and move into the house where her husband livedâŚ.
âThatâs wonderful news, Hwayeon. You only have one son, and knowing heâs coming back to stay nearby must make you feel so reassured.â
âYeah. Now that heâs approaching his third year as a resident, I guess heâs starting to have a little more free time. He used to eat and sleep at the hospital department and live like a madman, but now that he has some time, he says he wants to see his mother and maternal grandmother and will commute from here. At times like this, I really do think heâs a filial son.â
The memories of the man upstairs quickly surged back into Nayeonâs mind with vivid intensity.
The school president who was famous for being handsome and was also outstanding academically.
He had been tall and strikingly handsome, with the appearance of an actor carved from stone.
While everyone looked up to him, Nayeon, too, had often gazed at him with admiration.
