Synopsis
“Just wait and see, Teacher. In the end, you’ll want to marry me.”
On the day of her high school graduation, Dayeon was nearly sold to a strange man because of her father’s debts.
The person who saved her was Cha Siheon, who had once been her teacher—and her first love.
He was the person who gave Dayeon a reason to dream again after she lost her mother and even lost her purpose in life.
She could never bring herself to give up on the man who had saved her twice.
Then, one day—
“Dayeon. Would you consider becoming my grandson’s wife?”
Siheon’s grandfather made her an unexpected proposal.
“Let’s do it. Let’s get married.”
It was a contract marriage meant to reassure his grandfather.
It was nothing more than a choice Siheon made under the pretext of protecting his benefactor’s daughter.
Or so he thought.
“In the end, Teacher, you’re going to fall completely in love with me.”
Every time he saw his bold student smiling at him, the feelings he’d desperately tried to ignore began to waver.
“Do you know what marriage is, and what married couples do?”
“It’s okay.”
She approached him without hesitation and whispered softly,
“I’m an adult now, too.”
Dayeon’s audacious words struck Siheon’s heart like a prophecy.
