He vividly recalled the words she had once spoken herself.
Swallowing nervously, she slowly turned to face him, her eyes shifting uncertainly.
Watching her fidget with her fingertips as she struggled to think of what to say, the irritation he had briefly forgotten surged back.
He casually rubbed the back of his neck with one large hand.
Was his blood pressure rising, or was he simply angry with her?
From the moment he became certain she was the woman he had been searching for, he felt the blood rush to his head.
