Shen Yue is heartbroken to see the little Golden Lion, Da Bao, unconscious from the pain. She secretly uses the healing water from her spiritual spring to stabilize his condition.Once Da Bao’s breathing becomes steady, she gently lays him back on the grass bed and silently vows that Xiong Jiaojiao will pay many times over for what she did.As Shen Yue leaves the cave, she nearly runs into Si Muye, who came to check on her after hearing her cry out. They notice Xiong Jiaojiao and her beast husbands trying to flee with the unconscious Xiong Da. Shen Yue tells Si Muye not to let them escape, and he immediately blocks their path.Xiong Jiaojiao reminds Si Muye that males are forbidden from harming females, but Shen Yue steps forward and says that while he may not be allowed to, she certainly is.Holding a silver needle, Shen Yue reflects that although saving lives requires time and precious resources, hurting or killing someone is much easier.Xiong Jiaojiao tries to negotiate, saying she only injured Da Bao and stole a fish. She offers to compensate Shen Yue with more fish and even suggests letting Shen Yue beat her own cubs as repayment. Both Si Muye and Xiong Jiaojiao’s own beast husbands are shocked by her willingness to sacrifice her children to protect herself.Shen Yue realizes that some females in this world would abandon their own offspring to survive, but she could never do that.Calling Xiong Jiaojiao unworthy of being a mother, Shen Yue suddenly strikes a point on the back of her neck with her silver needle. At first, Xiong Jiaojiao feels only slight numbness, but Shen Yue tells her that since she mocked Shen Yue as an abandoned female and insulted Da Bao, she will now experience suffering herself.
Moments later, Xiong Jiaojiao’s vision rapidly fades until everything turns black. She panics, screaming that she has gone blind, while her terrified beast husbands rush to support her.
Si Muye is shocked by what just happened. From his perspective, Shen Yue only made a brief movement, yet Xiong Jiaojiao suddenly lost her eyesight.Xiong Jiaojiao collapses to the ground in terror, clutching her eyes and screaming in pain. She cries that she can’t see anything and desperately asks Xiong Er and Xiong San what has happened. Her beast husbands are horrified to discover blood running from her eyes and realize she has gone blind.
Even after seeing this, Shen Yue still feels her anger hasn’t been satisfied. Remembering Da Bao curling up in agony from his injuries makes her want to punish Xiong Jiaojiao even more.Rather than killing her, Shen Yue decides that taking away her eyesight is a more fitting punishment. She declares that Xiong Jiaojiao’s blindness is repayment for Da Bao’s suffering and says she wants to see how Xiong Jiaojiao will continue bullying others without her vision.Shen Yue’s fierce resolve leaves a deep impression on Si Muye. For the first time, he senses a commanding presence from a female, and he finds himself increasingly drawn to her strength and determination.Shen Yue orders them all to leave. Terrified, Xiong Jiaojiao’s remaining beast husbands quickly carry away both the blind Xiong Jiaojiao and the unconscious Xiong Da, convinced Shen Yue is far more dangerous than they imagined. After returning to the cave, Si Muye notices how cramped, dark, and damp Shen Yue’s home is. He realizes she and her cubs have been living under very poor conditions.Watching Shen Yue gently cradle the injured little Golden Lion, Si Muye awkwardly calls her by name for the first time and invites her to move into his cave, explaining that it is larger, drier, and safer for both her and the cubs. He hurriedly adds that he has no improper intentions.Shen Yue immediately agrees, sincerely thanking Si Muye for saving Da Bao. She admits that if he had arrived even a moment later, she might have lost her newborn cub forever. She blames herself for underestimating Xiong Jiaojiao and nearly putting Da Bao in danger.Si Muye, however, blames himself instead. He regrets leaving earlier out of embarrassment and feels he failed to protect Shen Yue when she needed him.He thanks Shen Yue for healing his leg. After leaving that day, he discovered that the chronic pain he had endured for years had completely vanished, allowing him to run freely through the forest once again. The experience makes him feel as though he has been given a second chance at life. He reflects on how his leg injury had caused him to fall from being a celebrated knight to becoming the laughingstock of the royal city.He also remembers that, during one battle, his injured leg prevented him from using his full strength. As a result, he was captured by the enemy and imprisoned in a dark place for nearly two years, making Shen Yue’s healing all the more life-changing for him.
