Summary
Caroline August, a longtime fan of the stage actor Aiden Darebell, is devastated when he suddenly announces his retirement at a young age. Unable to accept it, she sends him a heartfelt letter asking him to continue acting.
To her astonishment, Aiden writes back, inviting her to his grand estate as his guest.
Overwhelmed with excitement, Caroline boards the carriage he sends without a second thought. After passing through a vast, maze-like garden, she arrives at an elegant mansion.
