Chapter 3:
Advancing to a Cultivator!
Hearing the voice, Ye Rushuang snapped out of her thoughts and turned around.
“Yingying, it’s you! What brings you to the hospital? Did Grandpa Tang’s old illness act up again?”
She smiled warmly.
“Not this time.”
Tang Yingying shook her head and sighed.
“To be honest, Sister Ye, I accidentally hit someone with my car today.”
“But the strange thing is…”
“He was sent flying more than ten meters!”
“And yet he wasn’t hurt at all. Isn’t that unbelievable?”
“Thrown over ten meters and completely fine? That’s impossible!”
Ye Rushuang shook her head, refusing to believe it.
From a medical standpoint, it simply made no sense.
What ordinary person could be hit like that without either dying or suffering severe injuries?
How could someone walk away completely unharmed?
That kind of thing only happened in television dramas or novels.
It could never happen in real life.
“Sister Ye, I’m telling the truth! You have to believe me!”
Tang Yingying grew anxious. She grabbed Ye Rushuang’s hand and shook it gently, her face full of sincerity.
“I think it’s unbelievable too! The important thing is that I had Director Li Ning perform a complete medical examination on him, but they couldn’t find a single problem.”
“If you don’t believe me, go ask Director Li yourself.”
“All right.”
Ye Rushuang rubbed her forehead helplessly and nodded.
Outside the Hospital
After leaving the hospital, Ye Feng checked the time on his phone.
His girlfriend would still need a little while to arrive, so he found a public restroom and decided to begin cultivating.
The cultivation technique inherited from the Immortal Emperor was known as a Divine-Level Technique.
Coincidentally, it was perfectly compatible with his body, allowing him to cultivate with incredible ease.
Sitting on a toilet seat with his eyes closed, Ye Feng quietly began to circulate the technique.
As his chest rose and fell, streams of spiritual energy from heaven and earth surged toward him, forming whirlpool-like currents around his body.
The energy spun continuously, becoming purer and purer before flowing into his body and transforming into spiritual power.
The path of cultivation was divided into strict realms.
From lowest to highest, they were:
Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Spirit Transformation, Void Refinement, Body Integration, Great Ascension, and Tribulation Crossing.
After surviving the heavenly tribulation, a cultivator would ascend into immortality, becoming one of the immortals of the celestial realm and wielding unimaginable divine power.
The ranks of immortals, from weakest to strongest, were:
Earth Immortal, Human Immortal, Spirit Immortal, True Immortal, Mystic Immortal, Heavenly Immortal, Golden Immortal, Taiyi Golden Immortal, Great Luo Golden Immortal, Immortal Lord, Immortal Venerable, and Immortal Emperor.
The Immortal Emperor stood at the very peak of existence.
It was the highest possible status and power in the immortal world.
Their magical abilities were boundless and unfathomable, ruling over entire realms like gods watching over countless living beings.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
In less than ten minutes, endless streams of spiritual energy poured into Ye Feng’s body.
Like a giant pump absorbing water, he drew in every bit of energy around him and refined it into pure spiritual power.
The spiritual energy inside his dantian rapidly expanded, and his cultivation level rose continuously.
First Layer of Qi Refinement.
Second Layer.
Third Layer.
Fourth Layer.
Fifth Layer.
Sixth Layer.
In only ten short minutes, he had absorbed all the spiritual energy within a radius of ten kilometers.
His cultivation had reached the Sixth Layer of Qi Refinement.
Such speed was simply heaven-defying.
Earth’s spiritual energy was extremely thin and impure compared to the true cultivation world.
Even the greatest prodigies in the cultivation realm could never advance six levels in just a few minutes.
For an ordinary cultivator, reaching the Sixth Layer of Qi Refinement from scratch would take at least four or five years.
Even those considered exceptional geniuses usually needed around two years.
Ye Feng’s terrifying speed was entirely due to the Immortal Emperor’s inheritance and the supreme Divine-Level cultivation technique.
At this moment, his body no longer needed any further tempering.
His physical condition had already reached the absolute peak of the Qi Refinement stage.
He was practically immune to blades and bullets, and resistant to both fire and water.
Once he reached the Foundation Establishment Realm, he would even be able to withstand missiles with his bare body.
With his spiritual power fully unleashed, even a nuclear explosion would struggle to harm him.
And upon reaching the Golden Core Realm, his physical body would become nearly invincible.
On Earth, there would no longer exist any conventional weapon capable of injuring him.
Fortunately for Ye Feng, the Golden Core Realm did not seem far away.
Although cultivation became more difficult with each breakthrough, he was the inheritor of an Immortal Emperor.
His progress would remain astonishing.
At the very least, he estimated it would take a week.
At most, perhaps two weeks.
Even in the cultivation world, such speed would be utterly terrifying.
Many cultivators who reached the Ninth Layer of Qi Refinement could live to be over a hundred years old, yet countless of them still failed to break through to Foundation Establishment before dying with regrets.
Talent, cultivation techniques, determination, and hard work all determined a cultivator’s ultimate potential.
“Phew…”
Ye Feng slowly exhaled a breath of stale air and opened his eyes.
A golden flash flickered across his pupils.
His spiritual sense instantly spread over a hundred meters.
Every movement within that range entered his awareness.
He could perceive the slightest breeze, every passing motion, and everything happening around him with perfect clarity.
“So…”
“This is the power of a cultivator?”
Feeling the surging strength within his body, a look of amazement appeared in his eyes.
He decided to try using his spiritual power.
However, it was his first time controlling it, and he lacked experience.
He accidentally allowed some of it to leak out.
BOOM!
The wall beside him exploded and collapsed instantly.
On the other side were several men using the restroom.
They were all squatting there, one hand holding a phone and the other clutching toilet paper.
Their eyes widened in complete shock.
For a long moment, they simply stared at one another.
What just happened?
Who blew up the wall?
Before they could understand the situation, Ye Feng couldn’t help but chuckle.
In the next instant, he transformed into a streak of white light and shot out of the restroom.
Arriving on the street, Ye Feng gazed at the bustling city around him.
A hint of emotion rose in his heart.
From this moment onward…
He was a cultivator.
A real cultivator.
In the past, becoming one had been nothing more than an impossible dream.
But now, not only had he achieved it—
He had even become the successor of an Immortal Emperor.
His future was destined to be extraordinary.
Like a carp leaping over the Dragon Gate, his life had been completely transformed.
Who could have imagined that a poor country boy would encounter such a heaven-defying opportunity?
The kind of miraculous reversal that only existed in novels had actually happened to him.
Perhaps it was incredible luck.
Or perhaps heaven itself had favored him.
Whatever the reason—
He was no longer an ordinary person.
He was now a powerful cultivator.
As long as he continued to work hard, perhaps one day he could become a legendary figure like his master.
For him now, wealth, fame, and status would all be within easy reach.
Taking out his phone, Ye Feng glanced at the time.
His girlfriend should be arriving soon.
He raised his hand and hailed a taxi by the roadside.
Then he set off for the North High-Speed Railway Station.
