Chapter 14
After a busy afternoon, Xu Xinghe had spent a total of 80 million. Thinking of that “poor little dog,” her heart softened slightly.
“Drive to the company,” Xu Xinghe instructed the driver.
Half an hour later, she arrived at the company. She couldn’t help thinking that just a few days ago, she was still an ordinary employee here—yet now she was about to become the boss’s wife.
The thought amused her.
There was no obstruction as she entered the building and went straight up to the top floor. It seemed Fu Tingshen had already given instructions in advance.
Xu Xinghe wanted to surprise him, so she didn’t tell him she was coming. She pushed open the door and saw “him” sitting on the sofa with his back to her.
On a sudden whim, she decided to scare Fu Tingshen. She lowered her steps and stood behind him, then reached out and covered his eyes.
The man sitting there—Si Yichen—had originally been waiting on the sofa for Fu Tingshen to return from a meeting. He never expected that just as he closed his eyes, a pair of hands would suddenly cover them from behind.
The intimate gesture made his body instinctively tense. If it were normal times, he would have already thrown the person over his shoulder. But at that moment, he caught a faint, unusual fragrance.
It seemed to be coming from behind him, and for a moment, he didn’t know how to react.
At that moment, the door clicked open again.
Xu Xinghe turned back in confusion—and saw Fu Tingshen standing at the entrance.

Fu Tingshen was at the door—then who was she covering?
Xu Xinghe froze and immediately let go as if shocked. The person in front of her had a body shape about seventy percent similar to Fu Tingshen. Who was he?
Before she could figure it out, she suddenly fell into an embrace.
Warm—but too tight.
Fu Tingshen had just walked in and saw Xinghe being so close to another man. Her face even carried that soft, sweet smile.
His heart felt like it had been violently torn open.
Who was this man? Why was he so close to his Xinghe? Was he trying to take her away?
Fu Tingshen’s mind darkened with murderous intent.
“Baby… a little gentler, you’re holding me too tightly,” Xu Xinghe coaxed softly when she couldn’t break free.
Hearing her voice, Fu Tingshen slightly loosened his grip—but still didn’t let go. He was afraid that if he let go, she would say she wanted to leave him.
A cough broke the tension.
“Cough… cough…”
Si Yichen awkwardly looked at the two of them embracing, trying to remind them there was a third person present.
Fu Tingshen slowly released his arms, then naturally took Xu Xinghe’s hand. Only then did his gaze shift to the man standing nearby.
Si Yichen had also never seen Fu Tingshen like this before. The two of them had started from nothing and had known each other for five years—he had always considered them at least friends.
But now, seeing Fu Tingshen act like a man terrified of losing his girlfriend, Si Yichen couldn’t help but find it amusing.
So Fu Tingshen had someone he liked now?
As expected of a “friend”—even Si Yichen himself found the situation a little entertaining.
“Hey, don’t be so angry~ Aren’t you going to introduce me to your little sister-in-law?” he teased.
Fu Tingshen’s aura instantly turned colder. To him, Si Yichen was like an annoying pest that couldn’t be shaken off. Friends? He didn’t need them.
If Si Yichen knew what he was thinking, he would probably be furious—after all, they had known each other for five years, and yet Fu Tingshen didn’t even consider him a friend.
“Hey, don’t be mad. Introduce me properly, sister-in-law.”
Xu Xinghe understood the situation by now. It turned out they knew each other. She quietly sighed in relief—she knew exactly how strong Fu Tingshen’s possessiveness was.
“Hello, sister-in-law. I’m Si Yichen. I’ve known Fu Tingshen for five years,” he introduced himself with a smile, deliberately emphasizing their long acquaintance.
“Hello, I’m Xu Xinghe, Tingshen’s girlfriend,” she replied politely, also stating her identity clearly.
Fu Tingshen’s brows furrowed so tightly they could crush a fly. He disliked anyone drawing Xu Xinghe’s attention away from him.
Before Si Yichen could say anything else, Fu Tingshen interrupted him.
“Let’s go home. He’s not important—no need to remember him.”
He then led Xu Xinghe away, brushing past Si Yichen without a second glance.
In his world, Xinghe only needed to remember him alone.
