“Who is it?” Da Hu asked.

“It should be Zhao Datie and Li Erlai,” Su Lianyi said indifferently. “Because I defended the Sun family, I made enemies of those two hooligans. Presumably this is their worthless revenge.”

Anyone with even a bit of taste—how could they use such a low-class method of revenge? Completely beneath notice.

Da Hu gave a slight nod. Everything she said, he already knew. The corner of Lianyi’s lips curved slightly. “Plan to do what? Let it spread. It won’t cost me a single piece of flesh. Hooligans aren’t much more refined than sluts—I’ve long been used to it.”

Da Hu’s hand paused mid-pour. He set the ladle down, turned around, and looked at Su Lianyi with a hint of surprise. “You really don’t care?”

“Take a guess.” After tossing out those two words, she turned and went into the kitchen, mixing kelp powder and salt together—this counted as her homemade iodized salt.

“Sis… sis… something terrible has happened…” It was Su Bai’s voice again.

Da Hu stepped out of the room and saw the panting, chubby Su Bai. Su Bai shot Da Hu a contemptuous glance—open disdain—then started looking around for his second sister again.

Lianyi emerged unhurriedly from the kitchen. “Why are you shouting? Making a fuss over nothing. Can you have a bit of a man’s composure?”

“Yes, yes, you’re right, sis,” Su Bai said. If anyone else scolded him like that, he would have already rushed up to fight them to the death, but since it was his second sister whom he always followed, he instantly lost his temper. “Sis, something terrible has happened. Our dad… our dad got into a fight with Li Erlai!”

“A fight is a fight. What’s so strange about two hooligans fighting?” Lianyi’s words were extremely cold.

Su Bai froze. “Sis, didn’t you just tell me to check who was spreading the rumors? I followed the trail and found out it was Li Erlai’s wife, Liu, who spread them. “What does that have to do with me?” Lianyi raised an eyebrow. Although this body was Su Feng’s biological daughter, she had not the slightest goodwill toward Su Feng. A hooligan like that deserved retribution.

Su Bai never imagined his second sister would say such a thing and was utterly shocked. “Sis, that’s our dad.”

Da Hu, standing to the side, said coldly, “You should go take a look.” As he spoke, he gave Su Lianyi a deep look—the meaning being: don’t let things get out of hand.

Seeing Da Hu’s gaze, Lianyi immediately understood what he was worried about. Helplessly, she said, “Got it.” After that, she washed the kelp powder off her hands in the basin, took off her apron, turned around, and walked out of the courtyard.

Su Bai looked utterly incredulous. He stared at his second sister’s round, rolling back as she left, then at Da Hu’s face—so ugly it was hard to bear—then looked up at the blue sky and white clouds. “Damn it, could it be that red rain is about to fall from the sky?” His second sister, who had always either beaten or scolded Da Hu—how could she suddenly listen to Da Hu?

If he hadn’t seen wrong, wasn’t that scene just now the legendary… husband sings, wife follows?

This day was absolutely going to see red rain—if not red rain, then green rain!

Turning back again, he saw his second sister had already gone far. Su Bai didn’t dare delay and hurried after her, calling as he ran, “Sis, wait for me—don’t walk so fast.”
