Chapter – 67
The Terrifying Qianxing
“It’s him!” At the same time, the humans noticed Qin Mo.
The three prides of the Frostleaf Tribe stared at the figure charging through the corpses of the Dead Clan, faint battle intent flickering in their eyes.
Under normal circumstances, they would have rushed forward to confront this mysterious black-clad man, but now they were locked in a fierce battle with the alien tribe and could only sigh.
“His strength… it has grown again,” Su Qin said ruefully after piercing the heart of a Dead Clan member.
“A worthy opponent,” Qingwei said calmly. Even though her green robe was already stained red, she seemed unconcerned.
“Sooner or later, you will become my defeated subordinate,” Qin Luo said with a glance, then fell silent.
The remaining powerful members of the Frostleaf Tribe looked on with confusion. They had no idea where this black-clad man came from or why he dared to cut through the Dead Clan from the rear in such a disadvantageous situation. Could he really not fear death?
Qin Lin’s expression shifted slightly. Holding his war hammer, he smashed away a few Dead Clan elites and fixed his gaze on the black-clad youth among the corpses.
“This is bad!” Qin Lin swung his war hammer, deploying the Hammer-Stone Battle Technique, trying to break free.
But a few Dead Clan elites clung to him, preventing him from escaping. He could only watch helplessly as the Dead Clan youth approached the black-clad young man.
Meanwhile, the human strongholds also noticed the scene. They all knew that this Dead Clan youth was the real backbone of the Dead Clan.
Unfortunately, even a mighty Dou Jing Second Stage expert like Qin Lin might not defeat him, let alone kill him.
Qin Mo’s blade had swung countless times, beheading countless Dead Clan members. He only knew he had to break into the battle circle and engage the human strongholds.
At that moment, he suddenly sensed an intense danger. Qin Mo lifted his head and saw a Dead Clan youth in black armor walking toward him. Wherever he passed, ordinary Dead Clan members parted to make way.
“Did you kill Bei Hou and Bei Nu?” The black-clad youth stared at Qin Mo, amusement in his eyes. His interest wasn’t because Qin Mo attacked from behind.
It was because he sensed the aura of his own kind on Qin Mo—an aura belonging to Bei Hou and Bei Nu, his most capable subordinates.
“Who are you?” Qin Mo countered.
“Qianxing, Junior Clan Leader of the Dead Clan’s Yong Kui Star,” Qianxing said.
“Another Junior Clan Leader?” Qin Mo thought of Li Tian.
“How many Junior Clan Leaders have you killed?” Qianxing asked curiously.
“Not that many,” Qin Mo said, severing another Dead Clan head with a blade. No Dead Clan dared approach him now, but his simple blade was already full of cracks—clearly unusable.
On the battlefield, corpses were abundant, and so were weapons. Qin Mo discarded the cracked blade and picked up another, continuing, “How about a fair fight?”
“Fair?” Qianxing laughed, sarcasm dripping from his words. “Are you sure you want to talk about fairness with me?”
Before Qin Mo could answer, Qianxing continued, “Fine, I’ll give you fairness. Kill your way to me, and I’ll give you the chance for a fair battle.”
Qin Mo smiled wryly and continued hacking away. They were only a thousand zhang apart, yet even this distance proved grueling.
He didn’t use the Overlord Divine Blade, his greatest trump card. If revealed, he had to win completely or face endless pursuit.
He struggled to advance, even though few Dead Clan members could match him, and when he neared Qianxing within ten zhang, his hands trembled—the vital energy in his acupoints almost depleted.
Behind him lay hundreds of corpses.
“Now you’re qualified?” Qin Mo asked, holding Bei Nu’s corpse core, absorbing its energy to recover.
Qianxing’s face darkened slightly upon seeing it. “I’ve decided—you will become my corpse slave. You killed my two most capable subordinates, so you must replace them. I wonder if a human can maintain this bloodline and pride as a corpse slave.”
“Catch me first,” Qin Mo activated the Divine Prison Concealment Technique and suddenly turned to flee.
Qianxing froze, not understanding why this human had fought his way to him only to suddenly run.
It didn’t matter—Qianxing was now intrigued by this human. He gripped his sword and pursued.
The battlefield fell silent for a moment due to the strange scene, but only briefly before the fighting resumed.
Qin Lin’s expression was grim as he smashed a Dead Clan elite with his hammer, then shouted, “Qingwei!”
“Understood.” Qingwei responded and understood the clan leader’s intent. Her sword flashed, and several Dead Clan heads fell.
Pale but resolute, she chased after the two distant figures.
Su Qin and Qin Luo did not lag, clearing the way for Qingwei, killing any Dead Clan who dared block her path.
They didn’t pursue further, only ensuring Qingwei exited the battlefield safely before returning, as their presence was needed more here.
Qianxing pursued Qin Mo into the Black Stone Mountains. He knew this human intended to lure him away, giving the humans a breathing space.
But he didn’t care. Killing this human would take only a moment, even with his sharp blade.
Soon, Qianxing realized something was wrong. Qin Mo’s pace, initially slow, was getting faster and faster.
By the time they reached the Black Stone Mountains, Qianxing nearly lost sight of Qin Mo. He could see him but could not lock onto his aura.
Normally, he shouldn’t waste time on this human but return to command the Dead Clan army.
Yet he didn’t, because few humans could hide their aura this effectively—this one was worth pursuing.
Their chase through the mountains disturbed countless ancient beasts, but upon sensing Qianxing’s Dead Clan aura, they retreated.
Only near a territory of a two-star ancient beast did a few powerful creatures remain, but even then, Qianxing’s aura repelled them.
Like humans encountering a foul smell, even the strongest appetite recoils.
“You plan to lure me into ancient beast territory?” Qianxing guessed. “Too bad. Humans have alliances with the beasts, and the Hundred Tribes have contracts with them. Even an eight-star ancient beast won’t intervene. This entire Black Stone Mountain is our battlefield.”
Qin Mo’s expression stiffened—he hadn’t considered this.
He did want to lure the strongest Dead Clan member away to give humans hope, but this was his chosen battlefield too. He could escape easily using his cloak and concealment, making it impossible for Qianxing to find him.
However, doing so would bring Qianxing back to the battlefield, likely dooming the Frostleaf Tribe and Hammer-Stone to defeat.
Reaching the three-star ancient beast area, Qin Mo confirmed Qianxing’s words: the beasts saw Qianxing pass but did not attack, only showing disdain.
After an hour, Qin Mo stopped to rest and awaited Qianxing.
“You seem confident in defeating me?” Qianxing stopped ten zhang away.
“A little,” Qin Mo replied calmly.
“You carry many secrets. I’m increasingly interested in you,” Qianxing said, scrutinizing him with a darker expression.
“My orientation is normal, and you’re an alien. Your deathly aura disgusts me,” Qin Mo said.
Qianxing’s expression darkened. He glanced behind him. “So your confidence comes from the human woman behind you? How disappointing.”
Qin Mo’s expression shifted—Qingwei had returned unexpectedly, beyond his plan.
“I came because I wanted to,” Qingwei replied, pale and breathing heavily, yet composed.
“Leave, return to the battlefield!” Qin Mo said coldly.
“Did I hear wrong?” Qingwei’s expression changed slightly. She understood—Qin Mo considered himself stronger, so he kept the danger to himself, a human custom.
Yet Qingwei did not see herself as weaker. She always treated this mysterious man as a rival she could fight and possibly defeat, hence her hesitation.
“Neither of you leaves. I’m interested in both of you,” Qianxing interrupted. “Together, or one by one?”
Qingwei drew her green sword. Qin Mo revealed the Qianmo Bow, wrapped in cloth behind his back.
In silent coordination, they attacked simultaneously. Qingwei’s sword flashed, enveloping Qianxing in sword energy like gentle rain.
Qin Mo’s bow was drawn to full, immense weight in his arrow aimed at Qianxing’s chest.
Qianxing did not flinch. He didn’t mind Qingwei’s sword and caught Qin Mo’s arrow gently in his hand.
Then, he turned, aiming the arrow at Qingwei’s sword tip.
Clang! The arrow was unharmed. Qingwei’s sword bent, its sword energy vanished, and she was thrown back by immense force.
“Tremendous strength, thousand-layer sword energy… excellent,” Qianxing smiled at them. “Among humans, you two are considered geniuses.”
