Chapter 31
I woke up feeling a faint weight on my arm.
In front of me was Shima, sleeping with regular, peaceful breaths.
“…Huh?”
Akihito was surprised and tried to move, but he couldn’t. Or rather, he couldn’t escape. Shima had his arm firmly around Akihito’s back, holding him in place.
“Why are you hugging me… hey—”
He lightly patted Shima’s chest, trying to wake him, but there was no sign of him waking up.
“…Hey…”
No response. On top of that, Shima had now entwined his legs with Akihito’s, making it even harder to move.
“What should I do…”
Akihito gave up.
He just stared at Shima’s sleeping face and, surprisingly, noticed how long his eyelashes were. He couldn’t help but reach out his hand.
“You have a pretty face…”
As his fingertips touched Shima’s eyelids, they twitched slightly.
Shima’s eyes opened a little, and Akihito tried to pull his hand back, but Shima grabbed it.
“Akikun…?”
“Ah, ah—good morning.”
“It’s Akikun.”
Shima’s eyes softened, showing an expression Akihito had never seen before.
Seeing a face like that for the first time made Akihito’s heart race.
Before he could react, Shima returned to his usual expression and spoke normally:
“Ah, good morning, Shima-kun.”
