 The Kind-Hearted Beauty

Inside the nail salon.

Yu Zhi sat down helplessly and whispered,
“Pei-jie, what do you want to eat? I’ll bring something back for you later…”

Pei Nian’an shot her a glance, then pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
“Send me lunch. Deliver it to…”

She looked up and asked the shop owner, “What’s this address?”

“Charm Nail Salon, North Gate branch of Jingbei University!”

Pei Nian’an repeated the address into the phone, hung up, then lifted her chin toward Yu Zhi.

“Just wait. You won’t starve. It’ll be here soon.”

Yu Zhi was stunned, giving her a thumbs-up. “Pei-jie, you’re amazing!”

About half an hour later, the store door opened.

A man in a suit walked in carrying a refined delivery box, followed by another handsome man in formal wear.

“Miss Pei, your lunch.” The two men stopped beside Pei Nian’an and spoke respectfully.

Pei Nian’an nodded casually and turned to the shop owner.
“It’s too dusty here. Is there a place we can eat?”

“There’s a dining table in the back.”

Pei Nian’an gestured toward the two suited men. “Put it inside.”

Everyone in the salon stopped what they were doing and stared in disbelief.

Yu Zhi was dumbfounded. Those two handsome guys in suits are the deliverymen? Rich people really do live in a different world!

Inside the room, one of the men took out a spotless white tablecloth and spread it elegantly across the small table.

Then, one arranged the utensils while the other opened a three-tier food box — revealing exquisite Japanese cuisine: a platter of fresh sashimi, steaming chawanmushi, golden crispy tempura…

After carefully setting everything out, the two stepped out of the room and said to Pei Nian’an,
“Miss Pei, everything has been prepared to your liking.” They bowed respectfully. “Please enjoy your meal.”

Pei Nian’an didn’t even blink, turning lazily to Yu Zhi. “I’m not hungry. You go eat.”

The girls getting their nails done around them looked over enviously, whispering among themselves.

Yu Zhi was wide-eyed. She stepped into the back room, looking at the table setting that could rival a five-star restaurant, nearly moved to tears.

Who would’ve guessed this was delivery?!
And they say Miss Pei is mean and arrogant? She’s clearly a beautiful, kind-hearted fairy!

Three hours later.

Yu Zhi was sitting on the couch, her butt sore.

As they walked back toward campus, Pei Nian’an slowed down. “Why is it so far?”

Yu Zhi pointed ahead. “It’s right next to the library — just ten more minutes.”

Pei Nian’an frowned, looking around.

Then she suddenly raised her voice. “Who doesn’t have class this afternoon? Help me take attendance! I’ll pay!”

Several students nearby turned to look at her in surprise.

Finally, a girl with glasses ran over. “W-what class?”

“Preschool Education,” Pei Nian’an said carelessly, extending her hand. “Five thousand yuan. Deal or not?”

The girl’s eyes lit up.

Yu Zhi: “???”

Pei Nian’an cheerfully took Gu Chengnian’s arm, beaming with joy.
