Chapter 11
“I won’t forgive him.”
The clearly spoken words made Akihito burst out laughing before he could stop himself.
“What a face.”
“This isn’t funny, Aki.”
“But your eyebrows are all pulled up, you look so scary it’s actually kind of funny.”
When he said that and laughed out loud, Shima, still visibly angry, turned to face him.
He stared at Akihito for a long moment, then suddenly reached out and touched his cheek.
The way his fingers brushed against him — as if he were handling something fragile — made Akihito a little embarrassed, and he averted his gaze.
“Yuu, you know… even after we started dating, he kept messing around. And honestly, I knew that when I agreed to go out with him, so… I kind of had it coming, in a way.”
“…Even so, he’s the one at fault. He’s the worst.”
Shima lowered his eyes and spoke as if trying to hold something back.
