Chapter 10
Shima didn’t ask any further questions.
Akihito also had no intention of pressing him about who he’d heard the story from.
He could already guess.
“Yuu must’ve run his mouth right away, huh.”
Yuu was the type who couldn’t keep anything to himself.
When they started dating, he had bragged about it without hesitation—to his friends, and even to people who had nothing to do with them.
Insensitive and selfish from the very beginning.
Why had Akihito ever gone out with someone like that?
“…Aki, sorry for listening without asking.”
Shima looked down and gave a small bow.
It probably wasn’t that he had listened intentionally—he had just overheard Yuu’s loud voice.
“Don’t apologize. He’s the only one at fault.”
Akihito flicked Shima’s forehead lightly with his finger.
“…I mean, cheating like that—”
“Huh?”
Shima suddenly lifted his face toward him.
His eyes were wide open, and Akihito tilted his head.
Why was he so surprised?
“…Aki, you were cheated on?”
Apparently, Yuu hadn’t mentioned that part.
Well, it’s not like anyone would admit they were the one who cheated when explaining why they broke up.
Akihito regretted bringing it up, but he still gave a small nod.
“…That bastard…”
Shima muttered something under his breath, his voice barely audible.
