1. āAsami Seri
Asami ā me
Yusuke ā my husband
I always thought we were a happily married couple.
Since Yusuke never minded cooking, we often made meals together.
During those times, we would enjoy chatting as we cooked.
My husband never ran out of topicsāstories from work, things he heard while outā
and he always mixed in his own thoughts as he told me these things.
I loved those blissful hours we shared.
But lately, I may have been a little cold toward him.
Even I donāt really understand why Iāve treated him that way.
Maybe this is what they call a āstagnant phaseā in marriage.
āIn front of the love my husband had continuously given me since before our marriage, I had grown arrogant, letting my heart slacken and sitting back in complacency.ā
And perhaps⦠it was my very complacency that gradually began to change what had once been a gentle, harmonious relationship between the two of us.
